  • Patent number: 5730034
Abstract: A movable automatic bolt driving apparatus sequentially drives a plurality of bolts positioned substantially in line on flanges of elongated concrete molding frame segments for producing columnar concrete products. The apparatus has a vertically movable bolt driver unit and an air-cylinder unit. When the bolt driver unit drives a bolt in a state that the socket and the bolt are non-concentrically engaged with each other, the air-cylinder unit causes to properly reposition the bolt driver unit. At least a part of the bolt driver unit, which is normally disposed vertically, is pivotable with a horizontal pivotal axis orthogonal to the moving direction of the apparatus. The apparatus also has a flange follower for guiding the bolt driver unit. At least a part of the flange follower, which includes a roller having a vertical rotating axis, is pivotable about a vertical rotational axis.

  • Patent number: 5729217
Abstract: A route guidance section compares the current position provided by a current position determination section and the route provided by a route calculation section for detecting an off-route condition. When the off-route condition is detected, a re-searching key as well as the route and current place is displayed on a display section. When the re-searching key is touched, a search is again made for a new route from the current position to the destination. Then, route guidance is again started in response to the re-searching result. When the re-searching key is not touched, the route and current place continue to be displayed while the vehicle carrying the apparatus travles off route, thereby efficiently preventing the apparatus from executing unnecessary re-searching when the driver drives the vehicle off route on purpose.

  • Patent number: 5729736
Abstract: A method and a system for analyzing the operation of a parallel data system are disclosed. The history information of the access executed by a specific processor that has received a request for access to a plurality of data bases connected to a plurality of processors, the ID of the specific processor and the accessed data amount are collected and stored in a memory. The history information is compared with the time assumed from a predetermined time specified for the access to a unit amount of data in data bases, deciding whether the former is reasonable or longer than the latter. The transfer history information for the processor that has transferred an access request to the specific processor executing the access is compared with a predetermined transfer time specified for a unit amount of data, deciding whether the transfer time between the two processors is longer than an assumed transfer time.

  • Patent number: 5728333
Abstract: A molded article of rigid polyurethane foam is manufactured by using a mold of separable upper and lower mold sections mated to define a cavity therebetween. A film of polypropylene which is previously vacuum formed in conformity to the mold cavity is closely set within the cavity and secured to the lower mold section outside the cavity. A rigid polyurethane foam-forming raw material is introduced into the cavity and on the film and caused to foam and expand in place to mold an article of rigid polyurethane foam. Thereafter, the molded article is lifted together with the film from the mold cavity by a pneumatic pressure or ejector pin. The molded article is stripped from the film to remove only the molded article from the mold without taking the entire film out of the mold. The once lifted film is returned to the original shape by vacuum suction for replacing the film in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 5727957
Abstract: An electrical connector 10 has electrical contacts 30a, 30b arranged in cavities 40a, 40b of a housing 50. Electrical contacts 30a, 30b include contact sections 31 and termination sections 32a, 32b having plate sections 36 oriented perpendicular to a surface of the contact sections 31 and soldering termination members 37. When electrical contacts 30a, 30b are placed in the housing 50, a rear portion 34 of the contact section 31 can be bent due to the fact that cut-outs 47a, 47b corresponding to the rear portion 34 are provided in the inside walls of cavities 40a, 40b, thus allowing for elastic deformation of the rear portion 34. In addition, plate sections 36 have lugs 38 accommodated in grooves 55 formed in the housing 50. Because of resilience of the rear sections 34, the lugs 38 engage against bottom surfaces 56 of the grooves 55, thus determining the position of the soldering termination members 37.

  • Patent number: 5726416
Abstract: An air plasma arc cutter includes spaced apart front and rear panels. A partition wall has its opposed two edges coupled to the front and rear panels to divide the space therebetween into upper and lower regions. An AC-to-DC voltage converter is disposed in the upper region and converts an AC voltage to a DC voltage to be applied between a torch electrode of a torch of the cutter and a workpiece. An air compressor supplies compressed air around the torch electrode and is disposed in the lower region. The air compressor has a threaded bolt which extends through the partition wall from the lower into upper regions. A nut is screwed onto the bolt in the upper region to thereby secure the air compressor to the partition wall. Shock absorbing members are disposed between the nut and the partition wall and between the air compressor and the partition wall.

  • Patent number: 5726449
Abstract: A warm object detector that includes an infrared object detector and an ultrasonic object detector. A thermal image signal processor obtains thermal object information representative of a warm object in an area by processing signals from the infrared object detector. An ultrasonic processor obtains ultrasonic object information representative of an object in an area by processing signals generated by the ultrasonic object detector. Then a new object determining device determines the presence of a new object in the area by comparing ultrasonic object information supplied from the ultrasonic image signal processor at a prior time with ultrasonic object information being currently supplied by the ultrasonic image signal processor. The new object determining device provides output information representative of a determined new object.
