Abstract: Disclosed are interosseous cages interposed between two bones. The cage includes at least one body with two bearing faces each bearing face being configured so as to come into contact with the two bones, the body being produced from a first material having a given strength, a through cavity produced in the body opening onto the two faces and an insert defined between two end faces and having a cross section which is at most equal to the cross section of the through cavity, in a manner such that the insert is slid into the cavity, this insert furthermore being configured in a manner such that its end faces are respectively a continuation of the two faces when the insert is in the cavity, the insert being produced from a second material which is stronger than the first material. Application primarily to the production of intervertebral cages.

Abstract: System for replacing a disk between two vertebrae includes an intervertebral cage having an oblong body including at least two portions and separated by a gap extending along a curved axis and opening out through an opening at a first end of the body, and at least one introducer guide rod, a curved longitudinal core having cross-sections substantially complementary to the cross-sections of the gap so as to enable the core and the two portions of the body to slide relative to one another, elements for mounting a first end of the core to co-operate with an end of the guide rod so that the curved core projects from the end, and a push rod mounted to move relative to the guide rod so as to come into contact via one end against the end of the body in order to push the body in translation relative to the core.

Abstract: An osteosynthesis system includes a pedicular screw and a bar of longitudinal axis, the screw having a U-shaped head with two branches and a base for defining an inter-branch space in which the bar is received, a screw shank with a bone thread, and elements for blocking the bar in the space and including at least a tab and movement elements for moving the tab relative to the branches in a plane substantially parallel to the axis, the movement elements being arranged so that the tab occupies two positions, a first position where the tab does not co-operate with the bar, and a second position where the tab co-operates with at least one of the branches in such a manner that at least a portion of the tab is situated in the space and applies on the bar a pressure force that is directed towards the base of the U-shape.

Abstract: An intervertebral cage for treating degeneration of the spine includes a block, an anchor member with a pivot and two blades secured to the pivot, a device for mounting the pivot to turn relative to the block and a hole in the block, a slot in the block, where the slot shares a common portion with the hole for containing the pivot, and a device for associating the pivot in rotation with the block in the common portion in such a manner that when the pivot is turned, the anchor member takes up a first position in which the blade is fully contained in the slot and a second position in which a portion of the end of the blade emerges from the slot.
