    Abstract: Compositions comprising an attenuated strain of vaccinia virus as active ingredient are found to be useful as cellular immunopotentiator and antitumor agent. The attenuated strain of vaccinia virus is obtained by serial passages of vaccinia virus in cell monolayers of chick embryo cells, preferably after the serial passages in mouse kidney cell monolayers.
