  • Patent number: 5406811
Abstract: A locking apparatus for vehicles of the present invention is constituted by a rigid lock body and a hook. The hook is connected to the lock body in a ring shape such that, at least one end thereof can be separated from the lock body. The lock body includes a moving plate which engages with and disengages from the separating end side of the hook, responding to the external operation for unlocking and locking, and an operating shaft capable of reciprocating in an interlocking fashion with the moving plate. On the operating shaft, a plurality of dials are respectively disposed rotatably via bushes. Between the dials and the bushes, an unlocking code sequence setting mechanism for setting an unlocking code sequence freely is formed, and between the operating shaft and the bush, a lock mechanism is formed.

  • Patent number: 5345798
Abstract: A code lock device comprising an actuator responding to a release operation and a locking operation, and an actuation which performs reciprocating motion and normal and reverse rotation. A plurality of dials for setting a release code series and a plurality of drive plates each of which responds to each dial and integrally rotates with each actuation shaft are provided on the actuation shaft, and a dial enforced reset mechanism is equipped between each drive plate and each corresponding dial. This dial enforced reset mechanism makes each drive plate and each corresponding dial engage each other by an engaging means in response to reciprocating motion and normal and reverse rotation of the actuation shaft in the case of the release operation or the locking operation, and makes each dial forcibly rotate to break the release code series in response to rotation of the actuation shaft.

  • Patent number: 5007262
Abstract: A dial lock comprises: a slide bar (10) which is controlled of its movement by engagement with a lock pin (2), dials (3) for controlling movement of the lock pin (2) with respective optional retrieving number, return-to-zero gears (6) to return the dials (3) to these zero-indicating positions at the time of locking and unlocking, and anti-locking means for enabling the locking only after a case when at least one of the dials is set to indicate a number other than zero, whereby optional unlocking number can be set without fail in locking operation.

  • Patent number: 4750342
Abstract: A locking device comprises an outer cylinder provided with a clutch bar engaging groove extending longitudinally along its inner surface, an inner cylinder contained and arranged within the outer cylinder, a clutch bar arranged between the outer and inner cylinders for removable engagement with the aforementioned engaging groove at one side and a plurality of discs within the inner cylinder and arranged reciprocally in the orthogonal direction to the clutch bar. Each of the discs is provided with a slit-shaped key hole, on the corner portion of which projections having depths and inclined angles conforming to inclined notches of a key are formed. On each disc, by cutting one side thereof, there is also formed a recess removably engaging the other side of the clutch bar, and a spring is connected to the other side of each disc to bias the recess in a direction of non-alignment with the position of the clutch bar.
