  • Patent number: 11409208
Abstract: An exposure head for forming an image of a first resolution corresponding to an arrangement interval of a plurality of lower electrodes in a crossing direction or an image of a second resolution lower than the first resolution. A circuit portion includes an image data storage portion that is arranged on the substrate together with a plurality of lower electrodes and converts input image data into image data according to the resolution. • Patent number: 10356252
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a reading unit line sensors to read an image of a target object, and a detector to detect foreign matter at a reading position. The line sensors receive light of a first color and light of a second color different from the first color. The detector includes an abnormal pixel detector to detect a first abnormal pixel for the first color based on first pixel data and second pixel data, and to detect a second abnormal pixel for the second color based on third pixel data and fourth pixel data. A combining unit generates combined abnormal pixel information. A determination unit determines one of a presence and an absence of foreign matter based on the combined abnormal pixel information.

  • Patent number: 10044890
Abstract: An image reading apparatus which is capable of successfully reading an image off an original by correctly detecting a size of the original without degrading productivity even if mixed-size originals are placed on an original tray with edges not aligned. An image reading unit reads an image off an original passing through a reading position. An original size detection sensor detects an original. A first original size is determined using a result of detection by the original size detection sensor, and a second original size is determined using the image read off the original. The first original size or the second original size is adopted as an original size.

  • Publication number: 20170353611
Abstract: Provided is an image reading apparatus including: a line sensor including three light receiving element arrays arranged at a predetermined interval in a sub-scanning direction, and being configured to read an image of an original by the respective light receiving element arrays to generate read data representing the read image, the three light receiving element arrays each including light receiving elements for receiving red light, blue light and green light. These elements are arranged in a main scanning direction; and a reading control board. The reading control board is configured to acquire the read data obtained by the respective light receiving element arrays from the line sensor, to sort a plurality of pieces of read data for every pixel of the same color, and to detect an abnormal pixel that does not exist in the image of the original for each color.

  • Patent number: 9219837
Abstract: An image reading apparatus that is capable of displaying in detail, as an image, a foreign matter position where an image reading failure could be caused. The image reading apparatus has a main scanning index plate and a sub-scanning index plate disposed adjacent to a reading glass and extending in main scanning and sub-scanning directions. These plates have scales that equally divide a surface of the reading glass in the main scanning and sub-scanning directions. When foreign matter is detected, a foreign matter detection message, a foreign matter area image, and position information representing a foreign matter area position are displayed on an operation panel. Based on the displayed image and position information, a user can easily recognize a cleaning object area on the reading glass surface while referring to the scales of the index plates.
