    Abstract: There are provided a practical open air cooled information processing system in which a back stream or recirculation of cooling air does not occur, as well as a load allocation method in such system. A temperature sensor is provided in the cooling air inlet of each server. When increasing the number of servers in operation, checking out which one of servers out of operation, when activated, brings a result of minimizing a maximum value of the intake air temperatures of servers in operation and then activating the one of the servers are performed. Inversely, when decreasing the number of servers in operation, deactivating a server activated last is performed. It is avoided that, due to utilizing consolidation and using cooling equipment that takes in open air together, aback stream or recirculation of cooling air occurs, resulting in a fault such as an abnormal intake air temperature of a certain server.
