Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for conference event initiation and may include: a calendar API accessing a user calendar and retrieving upcoming conference events for the user on the calendar; a parsing module parsing the retrieved upcoming conference events and storing event information for the upcoming events in an event database, wherein the event information comprises event sign-on information; and at a first predetermined time prior to a scheduled conference event, a call module: initiating a call to a host system for the scheduled conference event; placing a call to the user at a second predetermined time prior to the scheduled conference event; and merging the call to the user with the call to the host system to join the user to the scheduled conference event.

Abstract: A method of applying a buttress to a surgically cut and stapled site uses an end effector with a buttress applier cartridge assembly to load one or more buttress assemblies to the end effector. The buttress assemblies each include a buttress to support a staple formed therein as well an adhesive for adhering to the end effector. The adhesive of the buttress assemblies can include a pattern to assist in both attachment to the end effector and release from the end effector after cutting and stapling a tissue site. The buttress applier cartridge can include features that accommodate end effectors having various tip configurations, including straight tips and curved or bent tips.

Abstract: In one embodiment according to the present invention, a stent is described having a generally cylindrical body formed from a single woven nitinol wire. The distal and proximal ends of the stent include a plurality of loops, some of which include marker members used for visualizing the position of the stent. In another embodiment, the previously described stent includes an inner flow diverting layer.

Abstract: The present invention provides peptides partly derivable from FVIII which are capable of binding to an MHC class II molecule without further antigen processing and being recognised by a factor VIII specific T cell. In particular, the present invention provides peptides comprising the sequence DNIMVTFRNQASRPY or PRCLTRYYSSFVNME with modifications at the N- and C-termini. The present invention also relates to the use of such a peptide for the prevention or suppression of inhibitor antibody formation in haemophilia A and/or acquired haemophilia.

Abstract: A surgical system and related methods includes a buttress applier cartridge, a first buttress assembly, and a second buttress assembly. The buttress applier cartridge has a housing and a platform. The first and second buttress assemblies respectively includes first and second buttresses and first and second adhesive layers thereon. The first adhesive layer is parallel to the first buttress and defines a first adhesive pattern having a first outer adhesive profile. The second adhesive layer is parallel to the second buttress and defines a second adhesive pattern having a second outer adhesive profile. The exposed second outer adhesive profile in the transverse direction is the same as the exposed first outer adhesive profile in an opposite transverse direction such that the first and second buttress assemblies are interchangeable with the first and second portions of the end effector of the surgical instrument.

Abstract: A buttress assembly for use with a surgical stapled site has a buttress and an adhesive on one side of the buttress. The adhesive on the buttress is applied in a pattern where the adhesive extends near or along the edges of the buttress while a center region of the buttress remains relatively free of adhesive. The adhesive is applied such that it extends continuously along the buttress and has a height such that the adhesive creates a sealing attachment with an end effector. The adhesive can be applied in an uneven distribution such that there is more adhesive applied at one end of the buttress than the other. The adhesive can also be applied in a symmetric or asymmetric distribution about a longitudinal axis of the buttress.

Abstract: An intelligent resource initiation and deployment system is provided that identifies a location of a user, identifies entities adjacent the user based on the user location, and identifies a resource application and/or the resource pools. The invention identifies a resource pool which optimizes resource grants for the user based on the desired outcome of the user and/or the entity at which the user is located. The system further includes identifying when the resource pool is active, or what additional information is needed for the user to make the optimized resource pool active. The present invention shifts the processing capacity, memory, and processing speeds related to determination and selection of a resource pool and/or validation of the resource pool during interactions from the time of the interaction to before the interaction is even initiated.

Abstract: Gene expression signatures correlating to ICOS expression levels are provided. Methods of treatment comprising determining ICOS expression levels using gene signatures in patients and administering anti-ICOS antibodies are also provided.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate a computer system detecting an unusual activity event from activity data and sending a two-way notification message to a wireless device when a user has opt-in for a mobile application. The two-way push notification message is received at a wireless device and notification information is displayed at the wireless device outside the mobile application. The user selects one of the displayed action buttons to indicate whether the unusual activity event is valid or invalid. When a response to the computer system indicates that the unusual activity is valid, the computer system clears the inquiry and sends a subsequent push notification message to the wireless device informing the user. When the response indicates that the unusual activity is invalid, the computer system and the wireless device may establish an interaction through the mobile application in order to resolve the unusual activity event.
