Abstract: The CIA (Comprehensive Initial Assessment) tool provides a detailed initial assessment to tell the user of the tool what interaction is needed from the beginning of the injury. The CIA tool uses an innovative predictive scoring methodology to provide predictors on the risk of the clinical outcome of a worker's compensation claim. The CIA tool will help the nurse to manage the claim better as the tool includes specialty assessments to determine longer deviation and outcome of the claim. The CIA tool generates and provides a detailed blue print for case management and summary forms may be provided to the adjuster and/or case manager.
