Abstract: A method and system of shelving digital content items, including e-books, for restricted access within an e-library collection. The method is executed in a processor of a computing device, the computing device further including a display screen and a memory storing instructions and a database of fingerprint records associated with respective ones of a plurality of enrollees, and comprises receiving, at the display screen, a selection of a digital content item stored within an e-library collection of digital content items, receiving, at a fingerprint authentication interface, a superimposed fingerprint; authenticating the superimposed fingerprint by detecting a valid fingerprint record match with one of the plurality of enrollees; and requesting an input transferring the selected digital content item to a restricted-access digital bookshelf location in the memory.

Abstract: A method and system of system and method for operating a computing device for multi-user accessing of a shared e-book for reading within an e-library collection. The method is executed in a processor of a computing device, the computing device further including a display screen, a memory storing instructions and a database of fingerprint records associated with respective ones of a plurality of enrollees, and comprises receiving, at current page of the e-book at the display screen, a digital bookmarking command terminating display of the e-book content at the current page, receiving, at a fingerprint authentication interface, a superimposed fingerprint, recognizing a fingerprint record match between the superimposed fingerprint and one of the plurality of enrollees and correlating the superimposed fingerprint with the digitally bookmarked current page based on the fingerprint record match.

Abstract: A method and system for indicated reading rate synchronization on a computing device is disclosed. The system utilizes a camera that tracks an eye movement of a user on a page of content on the computing device. In addition, an audio pronouncer is used to pronounce a word on the page of content. A gaze to page portion correlation logic correlates the audio pronouncement of the word on the page with the eye movement tracking location on the page of content on the computing device, such that the word being viewed by the user is the word being announced by the audio pronouncer.
