Abstract: An ultra-violet (UV) blocking garment includes a body configured to extend about a user's torso, the body extending between a first end and a second end opposite the first end, wherein the first end and the second end are securable together along a placket, a neck portion extending from a collar of the body and configured to extend about a user's neck, a sunhat joined to the neck portion and configured to cover a user's head, a pair of sleeves extending from the body on opposing sides of the placket, the pair of sleeves defining cuffs at a distal end of each sleeve, wherein each cuff includes at least one digit loop, wherein the neck portion has a stiffness greater than a stiffness of the body, and wherein the neck portion and the sunhat cooperate to cover a user's face.
