  • Publication number: 20220268028
Abstract: A fluid deposition system is provided. The system comprises one or more electronic processors, and one or more electronic memories each electrically connected to at least one of the one or more processors and having instructions stored therein. The processor(s) is/are configured to access the memory or memories and execute the instructions stored therein such that the processor(s) is/are configured to: determine whether one or more predetermined criteria are met for initiating deposition of fluid onto an area of interest; when it is determined that the criteria is/are met, determine one or more operating parameters of the fluid deposition system to use in the deposition of the fluid onto the area of interest; and following the determination of the operating parameter(s), generate one or more electrical signals to cause the fluid to be deposited onto the area of interest in accordance with the determined parameter(s).

  • Patent number: 8554674
Abstract: A user calling a payment center has the option of using an automated speech recognition payment system or a human representative to make the payment. If the user selects to make a payment using a human representative, the representative may, at some point, transfer the user into the automated speech recognition payment system. If the user has already been authenticated, he may not need to re-authenticate himself to the system. If the user selects to make a payment the automated system, and then gets transferred to a human representative during the payment process, the representative may, at some point, transfer the user into the automated speech recognition payment system. Again, if the user has already been authenticated either by the system initially or by the representative, he may not need to re-authenticate himself to the system.

  • Patent number: 7846164
Abstract: The present invention relates to pedicle implements, in particular pedicle implants that involve screws. The present invention includes a handle, a pointy tip, a shaft, a cannula located therethrough and mini protrusions used to prevent toggling. The crux of the present invention is the ability of the user to create an accurate pilot hole via the pointy tip. In addition, the present invention allows the user the ability to insert a pedicle probe through the cannula out through the pointy tip. This allows the user to perform the cannulation portion of the procedure without the use of any thrombatic agents.

  • Patent number: 7836525
Abstract: A Comfort Seat and Commode Device that is adaptable for incorporation into a wheel chair, an ordinary arm chair or couch or bed, a hospital bed, or any other means of convalescence or permanent occupation by the disabled, is herein disclosed. The device's framework supports a seat portion that is capable of rotating to provide an opening through which a patient or disabled person may eliminate waste. The rotatable seat is located in-line vertically with a waste bin and cover that comprise the commode. An actuation means is provided, which, in response to a command by the user, simultaneously opens the waste bin cover, rotates the seat, and elevates the waste bin to permit use of the device. A means of providing squirting action of a cleaning solution to cleanse the user after elimination, as well as a drying system, may also be incorporated into the device.

  • Publication number: 20070005072
Abstract: A pedicle punch used to establish pilot holes in vertebra pedicles when deployed thereon during pedicle screw insertion processes comprising a proximal end, a distal end, a shaft, a lip, a radiation opaque center core, and a radiation translucent outer layer. The proximal end acts as a handle for the pedicle punch. The shaft distally projects from the center of the proximal end and terminates to a sharp conical spike at the distal end. The lip outwardly projects from and is fixedly connected to the shaft, adjacent to the sharp conical spike and concentric thereto. The radiation opaque center core runs longitudinally along the entire length of the pedicle punch, through the proximal end, through the shaft and lip outwardly projecting therefrom, to the very tip of the distal end; and the radiation translucent outer layer concentrically surrounds and encases the radiation opaque center core, running along the entire length of the pedicle punch.

  • Publication number: 20060013739
Abstract: A mountable, portable, liquid or gel dispensing apparatus provided with mounting means, a reservoir and a pliable button. The mounting means are fixedly attached on the liquid or gel dispensing apparatus and designed for mounting the liquid or gel dispensing apparatus on anything capable of being hooked. The reservoir is housed within the liquid or gel dispensing apparatus. It receives and stores the liquid or gel until the pliable button, which is communicatingly connected to the reservoir, is intentionally actuated to release and dispense the stored liquid or gel.
