  • Publication number: 20210121282
Abstract: A prosthesis for repairing a blood vessel, wherein the prosthesis is inserted intraluminally and fixed in the vessel so as to isolate a diseased section thereof and maintain the flow of blood from the vessel to collateral vessels involved in the diseased section, and the prosthesis comprises a stent support and a flexible fabric liner of woven material comprising a plurality of concentric layers, wherein each of said layers has a very open fabric web which allows the passage of blood flow through the layers during the installation of the prosthesis but which allows the sealing of layers once the prosthesis is installed. A method is also provided for safe installation of the prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 6613078
Abstract: A multi-component stent-graft assembly for repairing a lesion in a blood vessel, preferably a thoracic dissecting aneurysm, the assembly comprising a frame stent that is affixed to the vessel, in the healthy portions of the vessel and extending along the entire lesion of the vessel, and a stent-graft which is affixed against the inside of the frame stent, the stent-graft being located at the desired locations within the affected portion of the vessel no matter the vessel wall is in conditions to retain the stent-graft, because the retention will be provided by the frame stent.

  • Patent number: 6162246
Abstract: An aortic graft and method for treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms by inserting into the aorta and into the iliac arteries of the patient the graft in a way to exclude the aneurysm from the blood circulatory system, the graft comprising a tubular hollow fabric material including a trunk portion and at least one leg portion capable of being accommodated to any rotation of the graft resulting from the installation of the graft and to any varying ratio between the diameters of an aortic neck and the iliac arteries, the graft being also adapted to different shapes of the aorta, thus diminishing and even avoiding the risks of misplacing the graft inside the aorta. The trunk also includes an inelastic edge to retain a stent in an expanded condition to attach the trunk and the leg portions together.
