Publication number: 20130197210Abstract: The invention provides a composition containing particulate composite of a polymer and a therapeutic agent. The composition also contains a complexing agent. The polymer interacts with the complexing agent in a host-guest or a guest-host interaction to form an inclusion complex. Both the polymer of the particulate composite and the complexing agent may be used to introduce functionality into the therapeutic composition. A therapeutic composition of the invention may be used to deliver the therapeutic agent and to treat various disorders. The invention also relates to a method of preparing a composition of the present disclosure. The invention further relates to a method of delivering a therapeutic agent, using the composition of the present disclosure, where a therapeutically effective amount of a therapeutic composition of the invention may be administered to a mammal (e.g. person or animal) in recognized need of the therapeutic.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2012Publication date: August 1, 2013Applicants: CALANDO PHARMACEUTICALS, INC., CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Suzie Hwang Pun, Hector Gonzalez, Mark E. Patent number: 8116908Abstract: Multi-modal planning method and system that search a path for the most constrained mode first, and then expands the searches for path in a less constrained mode. By searching the path for the most constrained mode first, less resource are wasted on searching for paths that does not result in a feasible path in the most constrained mode. Multi-modal planning is performed by precomputing feasibility and utility of transition configurations of two adjacent modes. The feasibility is used to exclude non-feasible transition configurations in the most constrained mode from being sampled. The utility is used to bias sampling of the transition configuration so that transition configurations with higher utility are sampled with higher probability. Paths of configurations with higher utility and efficiency are obtained by biasing the sampling of the transition configurations.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2008Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Victor Ng-Thow-Hing, Kris Hauser, Hector Gonzalez-Banos

Publication number: 20100083341Abstract: The invention consists of a device, in the form of software or hardware, which converts a single audiovisual signal, with multiple components, to multiple signals transferred to different input devices. This Multiple Signal Output System and Technology is responsible of filtering a signal by virtual channels and separating images from the original source. The separation of the images can be outputted to different input devices using a variety of cables or similar technology. A videogame system can use the technology to separate multiplayer signals from one device to multiple screens or input devices. This invention solves the split-screen problem by giving the players the option to use one output device to play in multiple input devices. The Multiple Signal Output System and Technology separates in-software (in-movies, in-games) signals to output them to different devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2008Publication date: April 1, 2010Inventor: Hector Gonzalez
