  • Patent number: 11229271
Abstract: The present invention relates to a locking mechanism (13) comprising a first locking member (11), a second locking member (12), and a biasing member (14) exerting, during operation, a biasing force (FB) on at least the first locking member (11) or the second locking member (12) in a biasing direction (B). The locking mechanism further comprises a guiding structure (32) for mutually guiding the first and second locking members (11, 12), wherein the first locking member (11) comprises a track structure (15) and the second locking member (12) comprises a guided element (16) guided by the track structure (15). The locking mechanism (13) is moved from an un-locked to a locked condition by applying a pushing force to at least one of the first and second locking members (11, 12). The locking mechanism (13) can be moved from the locked to the un-locked condition by applying either a pushing or a pulling force to at least one of the first and second locking members (11, 12).

  • Patent number: 9919437
Abstract: A personal care device comprising a main housing, a hair-cutting module displaceable with respect to the main housing against spring force in a direction parallel to a main axis, and a sensor comprising a first sensor unit connected to the main housing and a second sensor unit connected to the hair-cutting module. The hair cutting module is also tiltable in directions relative to the main housing. By measuring average displacement of the hair cutting module at multiple locations, the sensor is sensitive only to displacement parallel to the main axis. The sensor measures such displacement and determines the force needed to effect such displacement. If the force is larger than a predetermined value, a warning signal will be produced.

  • Publication number: 20160236360
Abstract: A personal care device comprising a main housing 2, a hair-cutting module 3 being displaceable with respect to the main housing against spring force in a direction parallel to a main axis 11, and a sensor 15 comprising a first sensor unit 16 connected to the main housing and a second sensor unit 17 connected to the hair-cutting module, wherein the sensor is configured to detect a displacement of the second sensor unit connected to the hair-cutting module with respect to the first sensor unit connected to the main housing in a direction parallel to the main axis. The hair-cutting module is tiltable with respect to the main housing about at least one tilt axis 13 extending perpendicularly to the main axis.
