    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an optical sheet for controlling the direction of light rays which is used for manufacturing backlight units of TFT-LCDs for computer monitors and televisions, and more specifically to an optical sheet which can uniformly diffuse light, improve brightness, and adjust viewing angle. There is provided an optical sheet for controlling the direction of light rays comprising a substrate film; a microlens group arranged on a first face of the substrate film; and a plurality of protuberances formed on a second face of the substrate film, wherein each protuberance comprises a reflective layer at the bottom thereof, and the plurality of protuberances comprise an aperture formed therebetween, and wherein a unit microlens of the microlens group has a first side and a second side with different radii of curvature from each other with respect to a light emission control part thereof.

    Abstract: A light guide plate for a surface light source device is provided, which includes an incident surface configured to have light from lamps disposed along a predetermined axis, be incident thereon, an emitting surface configured to have the incident light emitted therefrom, a back surface configured to face the emitting surface, and a plurality of unit cells configured to have microprism patterns engraved thereon and distributed and arranged on the back surface. A crossing angle of a microprism arrangement axis, formed by a ridge direction of the microprism patterns, and of an arrangement axis of the lamps is disposed in an alternate angle. The light guide plate has a high front brightness and an excellent uniformity in brightness and does not have a moire phenomenon. In a backlight unit, the use of optical sheets stacked on the light guide plate can be reduced.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method for producing lens patterns on a roll which is used to produce optical films wherein the method comprises forming a resin film on a roll comprising a plated layer which has been surface-plated with copper (Cu) or nickel (Ni); producing a preliminary lens pattern by striking the surface of the resin film on the roll with a chisel; etching with an etching solution the roll having the preliminary lens pattern formed thereon; and removing the resin film, and a roll for producing optical films comprising lens patterns formed thereon by the same method.

More specifically, the acrylic polymer beads having a core/shell structure, which are prepared by using a part of the monomer constituting a core layer to form seeds by a seed polymerization, polymerizing the rest of the monomer to form a core layer and then foaming a shell layer containing an appropriate amount of a crosslink agent, have a narrow particle size distribution and thereby provide, when used in addition to a plasticizer and a filler in the preparation of an acrylic sol composition for automobile, high storage stability of the acrylic sol and excellent properties of the coating formed by gelation of the acrylic sol.
