    Abstract: A fingerprint sensor includes a substrate, a light blocking layer that is on a first surface of the substrate and includes openings in a light blocking mask, and a sensor layer that is on a second surface of the substrate and includes photo sensors. A fingerprint sensing method of the fingerprint sensor includes: storing a calibration image; generating an original image, based on sensing signals from the photo sensors; performing calibration on the original image by utilizing the calibration image; and detecting a fingerprint, based on the calibrated image. The calibration image is generated by synthetizing valid regions extracted from an original calibration image corresponding to the original image.

The method is implemented on a computing device and includes: identifying for each coefficient of the plurality of coefficients, a combination of the inputs constituting the coefficient; counting occurrences of the sub-expressions in each of the coefficients; identifying one or more of the sub-expressions having a maximum one of the counts and including the corresponding two or more of the inputs; selecting one of the one or more of the sub-expressions as the common sub-expression; eliminating the common sub-expression; and repeating these steps to eliminate more of the sub-expressions common to multiple ones of the coefficients.

The data value of the candidate pixel may be changed to a value in a lookup table. The first and second DFC candidate values may also be stored in one or more lookup tables.

The method includes a filtering process that includes calculating an output signal of an nth frame from a sensing signal of the nth frame output from a touch sensing unit configured to sense touches of the touch-sensitive screen, the calculating using an equation F(n)=I(n)×W(n)+F(n?1)×[1?W(n)], wherein F(n) represents the output signal of the nth frame, I(n) represents the sensing signal of the nth frame, F(n?1) represents an output signal of an (n?1)th frame, and W(n) represents a filtering coefficient; and outputting the output signal of the nth frame to an output end. The filtering coefficient is calculated by an equation W ? ( n ) = ? I ? ( n ) - F ? ( n - 1 ) ? R , wherein R is a scale constant. The touch sensing method has high touch sensitivity in an environment with heavy noise while being capable of correctly detecting touch coordinates.
