    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for displaying an operation mode of a kimchi refrigerator are disclosed. The apparatus and method display information regarding food items stored in the kimchi refrigerator and operation information regarding operation modes of the food items. The method includes, if any one of the food items and an operation mode thereof are selected, selectively turning on an LED corresponding to the selected food item and an LED corresponding to the operation mode of the selected food item to indicate the selected food item and the operation mode of the selected food item, and controlling an LCD module to display information regarding the selected food item and operation information regarding the operation mode of the selected food item through an LCD panel. Information regarding food items and operation information regarding operation modes of the food items are displayed in various ways including texts and icons.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for extracting and purifying active constituents from honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica Thunb.) and its use. More particularly, this invention relates to an extraction and purification method of active constituents including sweroside from for honeysuckle stem (stem of honeysuckle where leaves are removed) by removing tannins, hardly soluble flavonoids, saponins, and the like. Thus obtained active constituents have better anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, are safer and more stable than the conventional active constituents obtained from honeysuckle flower or honeysuckle leaves, and include sweroside which is an effective active ingredient of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug.

    Abstract: Provided is a method and an apparatus for vocal-cord signal recognition. A signal processing unit receives and digitalizes a vocal cord signal, and a noise removing unit which channel noise included in the vocal cord signal. A feature extracting unit extracts a feature vector from the vocal cord signal, which has the channel noise removed therefrom, and a recognizing unit calculates a similarity between the vocal cord signal and the learned model parameter. Consequently, the apparatus is robust in a noisy environment.
