  • Patent number: 6005188
Abstract: A stationary housing for accommodating electrical arrangements, in particular cable-branching arrangements. The housing includes separately produced wall elements which are made of plastic and can be assembled in a positively locking manner on site, a dimensionally stable framework serving as carrier for the electrical arrangements an being enclosed by these plastic parts such that joints are produced on the side walls and the housing roof. The plastic parts are optionally stiffened to a further extent by corresponding profilings or corner enforcements and are formed of glass-fiber-reinforced polyester, polypropylene or polyethylene with appropriate coloring and UV-resistance. One person can easily assemble a housing of this type on site in a few minutes and, if required, dismantle it again for repair purposes.

  • Patent number: 5289558
Abstract: The invention relates to a switching assembly for glass fiber cables of the telecommunication and data technology field, and in particular to a glass fiber cable partitioning and terminal rack. The rack 1 includes a frame 3 supported by the rack 1. The frame 3 includes a jumper field 29 for glass fiber cable cores 8, 9 and at least one magazine 16 or 17 provided with slide-in openings 18 for splice cassettes 19. In similar prior art switching assemblies of this type, there is poor accessibility to the incoming and outgoing glass fiber cable cores 8, 9, thereby a high risk of breakage occurs during assembly, in particular when splicing. For avoiding these disadvantages, the invention provides that the frame 3 is supported at the rack 1 pivotally about a vertical axis 26, and that at the frame 3, a jumper field 29 with a patch field 6, 7 for the incoming and outgoing glass fiber cable cores 8,9 is accessible from the front 4 and from the back 5 of the frame 3.

  • Patent number: 4851967
Abstract: The invention relates to a distribution bank for communication cables in particular a house incoming distribution bank. The distribution bank includes several plug accommodation sections formed each by four conductor plug sockets, one earth plug socket, connecting elements and plug sockets and being provided with test portions for test plugs. In order to obtain a simple electrical connection between the plug accommodation sections, the connecting elements and the test positions, the plug accommodation sections, the plug sockets and the connecting elements are arranged in parallel rows. A row of the plug accommodation sections is arranged centrally, and one row each of test plug sockets and connecting elements are arranged on both sides of the central row of plug accommodation sections. Connecting plates extend to the parallel rows and are plugged into the distribution bank.

  • Patent number: 4846735
Abstract: The invention relates to a terminal strip or blocks in telecommunications, comprising a support plate with terminal elements for conductors to be plugged thereon and of a strip-like upper part to be snapped onto the support plate to create a relatively long terminal block without risk of addition of tolerance errors. The upper part is formed by several partial blocks, and the support plate has several receiving chambers arranged one behind the other for the partial blocks.

  • Patent number: 4775330
Abstract: A cable connecting element, in particular a dropwire cable connecting element for double-wire dropwire cables comprises an upper and a lower part and of two connecting elements each moving two cutting and clamping contacts. This cable connecting element is intended to allow, with economic manufacture, an electrical connection between two double-wire dropwire cables, without removing their insulations from each other and without the distance between the wires being identical. The invention provides both in the upper part and in the lower part guide channels for accommodation of the double-wire cables into which their narrow sides are inserted. The guide channels of upper part and lower part have one connecting element, each with cutting and clamping contacts which penetrates the narrow slides of the respective incoming and outgoing double-wires and contact and connect the respective wires of both cables electrically.
