Abstract: An absorbent article includes an absorbent core, a garment-facing surface, a body-facing surface, a first graphic visible at the body-facing surface, and a top component affixed to the article body and including an attached region and a cantilevered region, wherein the cantilevered region includes a translucent portion through which the first graphic is at least partially visible. The translucent portion can include a second graphic, wherein the first graphic and the second graphic combine to form the appearance of a third graphic. The article can also include a baffle forming at least part of the garment-facing surface, wherein the baffle includes a baffle graphic, and wherein at least a portion of the article body is translucent such that the baffle graphic is visible at the body-facing surface such that the first graphic and the baffle graphic combine to form the appearance of a fourth graphic.

Abstract: An absorbent article is configured for controlled deformation when insulted by a user and includes an absorbent body having a body-facing surface, a garment-facing surface, and a first graphic visible at the body-facing surface; and a deformable top component positioned adjacent to the body-facing surface, the top component having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction, a longitudinally-extending centerline, a transverse-extending centerline, and a peripheral edge, wherein the top component includes an attached region and a cantilevered region, and wherein the cantilevered region includes a translucent portion through which the first graphic is at least partially visible. The article also includes a fluid shrinkable string attached to the deformable top component in a pattern capable of providing forces to the top component when insulted by a user.

Abstract: A system for visually identifying the performance level of feminine care pads comprises a first feminine care pad and a second feminine care pad, each having a body-facing surface, a garment-facing surface, and a printed pattern that is visible to a user on at least one of the body-facing surface or the garment-facing surface. The first feminine care pad and the second feminine care pad are related. The second feminine care pad has a higher absorbent capacity level than the first feminine care pad. In addition, the total printed surface area of the printed pattern of the second feminine care pad is greater than the total printed surface area of the printed pattern of the first feminine care pad.

Abstract: A method and system of customizing bulk purchases of consumer personal care products are provided. In accordance with the present disclosure, multiple product forms and variants of the product forms may be contained within an integrated display within a retail outlet. The product forms may comprise any suitable personal care products, such as absorbent articles, feminine care products, toiletries, products for infants and children, adult incontinence products, tissue products, and the like. In accordance with the present disclosure, a consumer can select multiple packages based on personal preference that contain various different product forms and/or variants. The consumer is instructed to select a particular number of packages for purchase that total a single bulk price. In this manner, the consumer can take advantage of bulk pricing while still being able to select multiple related personal care products.

Abstract: Packaging is provided in which to supply personal care products to a consumer, wherein at least a portion of the packaging is adapted to be reused by the consumer. The packaging includes a storage bin having a storage bin bottom and a reclosable cover, and a removable bin enclosure adapted to overlie a portion of the storage bin and to be removable from the storage bin by the consumer, wherein the bin enclosure includes product-identifying graphics, and wherein the storage bin includes non-product-identifying graphics and is substantially free of product-identifying graphics. Product-identifying graphics can include product type, product size, and product count. Non-product-identifying graphics can include seasonal graphics, graphics adapted to make the storage bin appear to be a household object, or can be related to a cause.

Abstract: Packaging is provided in which to supply disposable personal care products to a consumer, wherein at least a portion of the packaging is adapted to be reused by the consumer. The packaging includes a storage bin having a storage bin bottom and a reclosable cover and defining an interior space and a vertical perimeter, a removable bin enclosure disposed to encircle a portion of the vertical perimeter, wherein the bin enclosure includes product-identifying graphics, and an inner package disposed in the interior space, the inner package including a plurality of disposable personal care products. The removable bin enclosure can be a removable sleeve adapted to secure the reclosable cover to the storage bin bottom. The removable bin enclosure can also be a film overwrap, and the inner package and overwrap can be biodegradable.

Abstract: An array of packages adapted for transporting and selling personal care products is provided. The array includes a first package including first removable product-identifying graphics and a plurality of first personal care products disposed within a first storage bin, the first storage bin including a first design and being substantially free of product-identifying graphics. The array also includes a second package including second removable product-identifying graphics and a plurality of second personal care products disposed within a second storage bin, the second storage bin including a second design and being substantially free of product-identifying graphics, wherein the second design is different from and complementary to the first design. The first and second personal care products can be different sizes of the same product, different products, the same product but adapted to be sold at differently-branded retailers, or different combinations of personal care products.

Abstract: A method of making a disposable pant having an inward fin crotch seam includes providing first and second panels, each panel having an inner surface, an outer surface, a panel waist edge, a panel leg edge, and two side regions. The panels are positioned such that their respective outer surfaces are in a facing relationship. The panels are bonded together to form a crotch seam. The panels are repositioning such that the inner surfaces are in a facing relationship. The side regions of the first panel are bonded to the side regions of the second panel to create two side seams to define a waist opening and two leg openings. The crotch seam may be inset toward the panel waist edges, and may include one or more slits. The disposable pant may include an absorbent.
