  • Publication number: 20190127888
Abstract: The invention relates to a modified viscose fiber containing an incorporated material from algae. The fiber according to the invention is characterized by a wet modulus at an elongation of 5% in the wet state which complies with the following formula: wet modulus (cN)?0.5*?T, wherein T is the titer of the fiber in dtex.

  • Patent number: 9963820
Abstract: The invention concerns a cellulose fiber of the genus Lyocell which is treated with a cross-linking agent, with the cross-linking agent inducing a protection from fibrillation on the fiber and exhibiting the following properties: the protection from fibrillation induced by the cross-linking agent changes if the fiber is stored within a pH range from 4.0 to 10.0, in particular under the influence of moisture and/or heat, within the pH range from 4.0 to 10.0, an optimum value exists at which the stability of the protection from fibrillation induced by the cross-linking agent during storage is highest a suitable range exists around the optimum value in which the stability is reduced by 20% at the most, compared to the stability at the optimum value, within the pH range from 4.0 to 10.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 18, 2009
Date of Patent: May 8, 2018
    Assignee: Lenzing Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Heidrun Fuchs, Peter Dobson
  • Patent number: 8633120
Abstract: The invention concerns a Lyocell fiber, containing a material selected from the group consisting of pearl powder, ground nacre and mixtures thereof. For the manufacture of the fiber according to the invention, a process is used comprising the steps of manufacturing a spinning solution of cellulose in an aqueous tertiary amine oxide, preferably N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) spinning the spinning solution to fibers, and being characterized in that a material selected from the group consisting of pearl powder, ground nacre and mixtures thereof is admixed to the spinning solution and/or to a precursor thereof.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 21, 2014
    Assignee: Lenzing Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Heinrich Firgo, Heidrun Fuchs
