  • Patent number: 12368208
Abstract: A protective device for a housing, such as a battery housing, is provided for discharging an overpressure from the interior of the housing. The protective device has a closure element for sealing an opening in the housing in a first operating state. The closure element is arranged to be movable relative to the housing and is configured to be moved into a second operating state in a non-destructive manner. A bearing element is provided for guiding the closure element. The closure element may have at least in some regions, a membrane having a predetermined permeability, and in the second operating state the closure element uncovers the opening in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20250207671
Abstract: A valve for controlling a fluid includes a valve housing having a primary chamber, a secondary chamber and a tertiary chamber, a first connection opening, a second connection opening. A primary port opening, secondary port opening, and a tertiary port opening is formed corresponding a primary, secondary and tertiary chamber. A primary sealing element is arranged in the valve housing. An urging element urges the primary sealing element towards the rest position. A shape memory element causes displacement of the primary sealing element from a rest position into an activated position. A secondary sealing element is arranged in the valve housing, wherein the secondary sealing element is mechanically coupled to the sealing element such that upon displacement of the primary sealing element from the activated position into the rest position, the secondary sealing element is displaced from a closed posture into an open posture.

  • Publication number: 20240363957
Abstract: A protection device for discharging pressure from a housing has a closure that seals an opening of the housing in a first operating state. A bearing guides the closure to a second operating state without destruction. A clamp is coupled to the closure in the first operating state and positions the closure on the housing. The closure releases the opening of the housing in the second operating state so that the clamp is decoupled from the closure member. In the first operating state, a spring leg of the clamp abuts a first abutment surface of the closure, and the first abutment surface is configured, upon displacement of the closure in the displacement direction to the second operating state, to displace the spring leg such that the spring leg contacts a guide of the bearing and is displaced by the guide such that the spring leg is decoupled from the closure.

  • Patent number: 11913564
Abstract: A valve housing (1) has first and third openings (1.1, 1.3), and first and second actuating elements (6.1, 6.2) that are movable along a longitudinal axis of the housing (1). A return element (5) is between the actuating elements (6.1, 6.2), and exerts a force to keep the actuating elements (6.1, 6.2) in a rest position to close or open the first and third openings (1.1. 1.3). First and second wires (4.1, 4.2) are formed from a shape memory alloy. The first wire (4.1) is on the first actuating element (6.1) and the second wire (4.2) is on the second actuating element (6.2). An electric current to the first or second wire (4.1, 4.2) contracts the respective wire (4.1, 4.2) and moves the corresponding actuating element (6.1, 6.2) into an activated position against the force exerted by the return element (5).

  • Patent number: 10533692
Abstract: A heatable media line includes a connecting part, which establishes an electrical connection, and serves to introduce a heat conductor into a media line section. A connection of the heat conductor with contact-forming parts is set up in an end part, and the heat conductor is tightly accommodated in boreholes of a coupling part by means of two sealing bodies spaced apart from each other, as well as introduced into the media line section by way of a supporting body for purposes of heating a medium flowing in the latter. In order to produce a reliable seal intended to prevent the medium from penetrating into the end part, recesses in the walls of the coupling part and an interruption of a creepage distance are configured between the sealing bodies such that the heat conductor is directly in contact with the surrounding atmosphere.
