  • Publication number: 20080074104
Abstract: A displaceable component includes a body having an axis and arranged for movement in at least one of an axial direction or a rotary direction about the axis. A position-defining element is fixed to the body and substantially comprising a magnetised elastomer. The position-defining element is arranged to be sensed by a sensor to determine at least one of an axial position, a rotary position or a rotary speed of the body.

  • Patent number: 7034524
Abstract: A device for measuring the angle of rotation of a rotating member of a machine, comprising a signal transmitting rotor which includes a magnet rim consisting of magnets having alternatingly arranged south poles and north poles and being moved with respect to a stationary measuring sensor is characterized in that each magnet or each magnet zone has a thickness which varies substantially sinusoidally in circumferential direction, having its maximum in the pole center of each magnet and/or forms an air gap with the measuring sensor varying sinusoidally in circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 6139023
Abstract: A seal for movable structural components, like piston rods or shafts, includes a carrier body made of thermoplastic material and a sealing member locked to said carrier body and made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material. A form-lock connection is achieved by an undercut which is formed permanently in the sealing member and filled with plastic material of the carrier body.

  • Patent number: 6103264
Abstract: A process for preparing a controlled release composition with a controlled release matrix and containing a pharmaceutically active ingredient, which comprises granulating the active ingredient with a molten matrix material or with a matrix material while it is being melted and with optional additional inactive materials at a first elevated temperature, then cooling and screening the granulate, forming a fluidized bed of the resulting material at a second elevated temperature, and recovering the resulting product; and the product formed by the process.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 15, 2000
    Assignee: Arzneimittelwerk Dresden GmbH
Inventors: Torsten Hoffmann, Klaus Liebold, Joachim Wolf, Heiko Schumacher
  • Patent number: 5874170
Abstract: A seal for movable structural components, such as piston rods or shafts, includes a carrier body made of plastics and a sealing member made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material and bonded to the carrier body. A plastic material may be mixed with the PTFE and fused to the plastic carrier body during injection molding.

  • Patent number: 5544895
Abstract: A shaft packing includes a casing and at least two polymeric disks. One disk forms a protective lip and the other disk forms a packing lip. The internal diameters of the disks are smaller than the external diameter of the shaft to be packed. Between the two disks is positioned an expanding ring which ensures an inversion and expanding of the packing lip in the opposite direction to the protective lip.
