Abstract: An apparatus for determining state information relating to inertization of a fuel provision system configured to supply a fuel cell unit with fuel and including a vessel for storing fuel and a fuel line between the vessel and/or between a refueling access for refueling the vessel and the fuel cell unit, where the inertization replaces fuel in the fuel line and/or in the fuel cell unit with inert gas. The apparatus includes a device that is configured to cause the fuel cell unit to be supplied with gas from the fuel line while the vessel is closed and/or without fuel being taken from the vessel, to determine measurement information relating to an electric current and/or an electric voltage caused by the fuel cell unit being supplied with gas, and to determine the state information relating to the inertization of the fuel provision system on a basis of the measurement information.

Abstract: A filling device for a pressure vessel of a motor vehicle includes a filling neck via which an operating medium can be filled into a pressure vessel, a dust cap which can be plugged onto the filling neck and which, together with the filling neck, delimits a filling volume. A housing apparatus includes a main element and a cover element which can be adjusted relative to the main element between an open position and a closed position which, together with the main element, delimits a housing interior. The dust cap is arranged in the housing interior. At least one ventilation channel, which is delimited in regions by the dust cap, extends from the filling volume into an environment separated from the housing interior by way of the cover in its closed position and has at least one direction-reversing element.

Abstract: Apparatus and process for producing and discharging spherically shaped products from a pasty material. The apparatus includes a feed device for moving the pasty material along a conveyor path, a portioning device connected downstream of the feed device for shaping the pasty material into balls, and a transport device for discharging the balls produced by means of the portioning device. The portioning device has an outlet opening having a plurality of outlets for the balls to be shaped, arranged in mutually juxtaposed relationship so that the delivered products touch each other or are arranged in closely mutually juxtaposed relationship, and the portioning device and the transport device are so arranged relative to each other that regions of the transport device in the transport direction provide an abutment function for the balls which are to be oriented in mutually juxtaposed relationship in a row substantially transversely relative to the transport direction.

Abstract: In the case of a cutting assembly having at least one perforated or cutting plate which has through channels and having at least one cutting knife which is assigned to the perforated or cutting plate, the cutting knife being connected with a rotatable shaft in a rotationally fixed manner, it is provided that the perforated or cutting plate exhibits through channels at its centre and distributed over its entire extent. Meat products or other products which must have a constant consistency over their entire extent with regard to the product mass can be produced with a cutting assembly of this type.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition and method for permanently shaping hair, in which an N,N-disubstituted mercaptoacetamide of the formula I: or a salt thereof, wherein R1 and R2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, monohydroxyalkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, polyhydroxyalkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and carboxyalkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, is employed as keratin reducing agent. A process for making these mercaptoacetamides is also described as well as a novel mercaptoacetamide, N-ethyl-2′-hydroxyethyl-mercaptoacetamide. The mercaptoacetamides provide gentle and uniform shaping of hair in a pH range of 4.5 to 9.5 and do not cause allergic or sensitizing reactions.

Abstract: 1 The invention relates to a method and agents for permanently styling hair, characterised in that they contain a keratin reduction agent in the form of N,N-disubstituted mercaptoacetamide of general formula (I) or salts thereof, R1 and R2 representing a straight-chain or branched alkyl radical, monohydroxyalkyl or polyhydroxyalkyl or carboxyalkyl, each with 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a method for producing these mercaptoacetamides and to the novel mercaptoacetamide N-ethyl-N-2′-hydroxy-ethylmercaptoacetamide. The inventive agent enables the hair to be styled gently and evenly, at a pH range—4.5 to 9.5—which is gentle on skin and hair, without causing allergic or sensitizing reactions.

Abstract: The aqueous ready-to-apply composition for permanent waving of hair has a pH of 4 to 8.5 and from 3 to 28% by weight of at least one N-alkylmercaptoacetamide of formula (I): wherein R represents a straight-chain alkyl group having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a straight-chain hydroxyalkyl group having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms; or a salt thereof; and at least one standard cosmetic additive ingredient, such as thickeners, wetting agents and emulsifiers, perfume oils, conditioners and buffer substances. The ready-to-apply composition can be made by mixing two or more components, one of which contains the N-alkylmercaptoacetamide. A method for permanent waving of hair using the ready-to-apply composition is also described. A process for making the N-alkylmercapto-acetamides includes reacting a suitable amine with methylthioglycolate under a protective gas atmosphere at temperatures that are not greater than 30° C.

Abstract: The composition for permanent shaping of hair contains, as keratin-reducing agent, a compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## or a salt thereof, wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent, independently of each other, H, a straight or branched chain alkyl or hydroxy alkyl group, with 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a carboxyl group, with the proviso that at least one of the R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 groups is not H, n and m are whole numbers from 1 to 3 and X is a bivalent group --O--, --CR.sub.5 R.sub.6 -- or --NR.sub.7 --, in which R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are each, independently of each other, H or straight chain or branched chain alkyl groups or hydroxyalkyl groups with 1 to 3 carbon atoms or carboxyl groups. New mercaptoacetamide compounds and methods of making them are also described. The composition for permanent shaping provides a safe and uniform shaping of hair without allergic and sensitizing reactions; it has a skin and hair safe pH range of 6.5 to 9.5.
