  • Patent number: 5752747
Abstract: The extent to which the brake pedal is actuated is detected, and the braking action in the wheel brakes with the greater amount of wear is reduced as a function of this pedal actuation. The reduction in brake pressure takes place primarily in a low range of brake pressures, the amount of reduction decreasing continuously in a middle range of brake pressures, and not taking place at all at high brake pressures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 1996
Date of Patent: May 19, 1998
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Heinz Decker, Werner Stumpe, Heiner Gassmann
  • Patent number: 4917407
Abstract: A plastic housing cover for a valve having an integral connector nozzle part provided with a metal threaded nipple element is proposed, in which it is assured that the threaded element, inserted in a sealing manner into the plastic, cannot destroy the tight connection with the plastic part during the twisting of insertion and possible twisting on the part of the threaded element itself. The threaded element is accordingly given an opportunity at the outset to rotate, while maintaining the tightness of the seal. The threaded nipple element is preferably a hollow threaded connector and the plastic part comprises a cover of a compressed air valve, especially a brake valve.

  • Patent number: 4162083
Abstract: A leveling control mechanism for motor vehicles includes an electric pump and a solenoid valve for raising and lowering the vehicle body and a leveling switch with an electronic damping device. The periodic measurement of the distance from the vehicle axle to the vehicle body is carried out by a mechanical-electrical converter, which converts the rotation of a shaft into an electrical signal. During acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle, as well as during the occurrence of centrifugal forces, suitably situated inertial switches inhibit the response of the leveling control mechanism.
