Publication number: 20210290351Abstract: The present invention is related to a method for the manufacture of a multilayer blank, having a lowermost layer and a topmost layer, of a ceramic material, where layers of different compositions are introduced layer-by-layer into a mold, compressed and then sintered and where individual layers contain at least one coloring oxide, wherein as a first coloring oxide as the one coloring oxide at least one oxide from the group Co, Mn, Ni, Cr is used, the proportion of which in the lowermost layer containing the first coloring oxide is lower than in the topmost layer containing the first coloring oxide: and at least one oxide from the group Pr, Er, Fe, Ti, V, Bi, Cu, Tb is used as the second coloring oxide, the proportion of which in the lowermost layer containing the second coloring oxide is greater than that in the topmost layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2019Publication date: September 23, 2021Applicant: DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc.Inventors: Lothar VOELKL, Stefan FECHER, Martin KUTZNER, Tanja OEFNER, Christian KOHLER, Tobias KRANZ, Andreas GEBHARDT, Martin HAIZMANN, Heiner HOERHOLD, Andrea BURNS

Patent number: 9737465Abstract: The invention relates to a blank for producing a dental molded part such as an inlay, onlay, crown or bridge, and to a method for producing the blank. To be able to machine a dental molded part, in particular one having thin wall thicknesses, from the blank without difficulty, the blank is designed to consist of a glass ceramic having a density of between 30 and 60% of theoretical density, and of glass-ceramic powder particles with a particle size distribution d90?80 ?m, lithium silicate crystals being present in an amount of 10 to 90% by volume.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2014Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Assignee: DENTSPLY INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Stefan Fecher, Heiner Hörhold, Udo Schusser, Markus Vollmann, Martin Kutzner

Patent number: 7537449Abstract: A holding device that can be braced in a surveying machining together with an individual preparation model produced by dental laboratory techniques. The holding device has a mechanically stable frame with bores disposed at a distance (a) to one another, in which at least two holding pins are locked that can be displaced at least in the axial direction (A).Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2006Date of Patent: May 26, 2009Assignee: Eidgenossiche Technische Hochschule Zurich Nichtmetallische WerkstoffeInventors: Frank Filser, Ludwig Gauckler, Peter Kocher, Heinz Luethy, Peter Schaerer, Heiner Hoerhold, Peter Kreuder, Stefan Fecher

Patent number: 7077391Abstract: A holding device comprises a cylindrical or prismatic, porous ceramic blank and elements for clamping in a machine tool for processing the blank by removing material, in order to produce a ceramic workpiece. A narrow frame is fixed by an adhesive connection over at least part of the periphery of the blank, which is held without stresses, in the area of a plane encompassing the longitudinal middle axis (A) of the blank. The frame only covers a small part of the surface of the blank and can be detached and held in a stable holder with a clamping adapter, in such a way that it cannot slide. The entire combination is fixed in the machine tool in such a way as to be resistant to twisting and sliding. The ceramic workpiece emerges continuously form the ceramic blank without predetermination of the advance direction, until holding segments which can then only be freely selected according to number and location have been formed.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2001Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Assignee: Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule Zurich Nichtmetallische WerkstoffeInventors: Frank Filser, Ludwig Gauckler, Peter Kocher, Heinz Luethy, Peter Schaerer, Heiner Hoerhold, Peter Kreuder, Stefan Fecher

Publication number: 20040072121Abstract: A holding device (42) comprises a cylindrical or prismatic, porous ceramic blank (10) and means for clamping in a machine tool for processing the blank (10) by removing material, in order to produce a ceramic workpiece (18). A narrow frame (12) is fixed by an adhesive connection over at least part of the periphery of the blank (10), which is held without stresses, in the area of a plane encompassing the longitudinal middle axis (A) of the blank. Said frame (12) only covers a small part of the surface of the blank (10) and can be detached and held in a stable holder (24) with a clamping adapter (34), in such a way that it cannot slide. The entire combination is fixed in the machine tool in such a way as to be resistant to twisting and sliding. The ceramic workpiece (18) emerges continuously from the ceramic blank (10) without predetermination of the advance direction, until holding segments (20) which can then only be freely selected according to number and location have been formed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2003Publication date: April 15, 2004Inventors: Frank Filser, Ludwig Gauckler, Peter Kocher, Heinz Luethy, Peter Schaerer, Heiner Hoerhold, Peter Kreuder, Stefan Fecher
