  • Patent number: 9905344
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a grain-orientated electric steel which is coated with a phosphate layer and in which there is applied to the electric steel a phosphate solution which contains a colloid component and at least one colloid stabilizer (A) and/or at least one pickling inhibitor (B), the phosphate solution containing at least one compound which has chromium in the oxidation stage III (chromium (III) compound). Grain-orientated electric steel produced with the method according to the invention is distinguished by excellent optical properties and a high tensile stress.

  • Publication number: 20140261895
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a grain-oriented steel flat product for electrotechnical applications, wherein, in a production step, “decarburising and nitriding annealing” is carried out in two stages. The first stage of the annealing process extends over a first time interval, which comprises heating the cold strip starting from a start temperature to a first target annealing temperature and holding it at this target annealing temperature, and the second stage of the annealing process extends over a second time interval, in which the cold strip is heated to a second target annealing temperature and subsequently held at this target annealing temperature.

  • Publication number: 20130251984
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel flat product with minimised magnetic loss values wherein the method comprises the following work steps: a) providing an electrical steel flat product, b) applying a layer of a phosphatic insulation solution for at least one surface of the electrical steel flat product and baking the applied layer. In order that the tensile stresses acting on the surface of an electrical steel flat product are increased further by means of such a method, the invention proposes that, after a first execution of work step b) this work step b) is repeated at least once, so that from the layers of phosphatic insulation solution applied and baked one after another and one on top of the other an insulation coating is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6423156
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the coating of electric steel strips with an oxide powder as annealing separator by the application of an aqueous solution which contains mainly MgO and also at least one additive, including a chlorine-containing compound. The characterizing feature of the invention is that the additive added to the aqueous solution is ammonium chloride (NH4Cl or NH4Cl.nH2O).

  • Patent number: 5863356
Abstract: The invention comprises a method for producing electric sheets, in particular grain-oriented electric sheets, with an evenly well-adhering glass film and with improved magnetic properties, in which the hot rolled strip which is produced at first and is optionally annealed is cold-rolled up to an end thickness in one or several steps, thereafter an annealing separator is applied to the strip which is rolled up to the end thickness, and is dried, and therafter the cold strip thus coated is subjected to high-temperature annealing, with an important component of the annealing separator being a hydrous magnesium oxide (MgO) dispersion and the annealing separator being additionally provided with at least one additive. The characterizing feature of the invention is that a finely dispersed water-soluble sodium phosphate compound is used as at least one additive.
