Abstract: To provide a cosmetic composition having further improved ultraviolet absorption ability in the UVA and UVB regions. The cosmetic composition is composed of components (i) and (ii) described below, and an oil content which is capable of at least partially dissolving these components: (i) a first compound, which has a structure of formula (I) below: where —OA represents an alkoxy group, and (ii) a second compound, which is different from the first compound, has a structure of any of (II-1), (II-2), (II-3), and (II-4) described below, and has a molecular weight of 250 or more: where the benzene ring may have a substituent.

Abstract: Provided is a cosmetic capable of achieving improvement of an ultraviolet protection effect, particularly improvement against photodegradation. A cosmetic is used that includes an ultraviolet absorber including t-butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and includes butyloctyl salicylate and an alkylene oxide derivative.
