Date of Patent: June 1, 1993
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans Lindel, Werner Hallenbach, Friedrich Berschauer, Heinrich A. Greife, Gernot Klotz
  • Patent number: 5086181
Abstract: A pyridine derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which A stands for ##STR2## is useful in the preparation of 4-bromo-6-chloro-5-amino-2-pyridyl-ethanolamines, their physiologically tolerated salts and their N-oxides. The 4-bromo-6-chloro-5-amino-2-pyridyl-ethanolamines are useful as yield promoters in animals and as feedstuff additives to achieve higher increases in weight and improved feed utilization.
