  • Patent number: 6909377
Abstract: Illumination device with light emitting diodes (LED) and an LED support element on which a number of light pixels are arranged which emit light are disclosed. The light pixels each comprise a number of LEDs with emission wavelengths suitable for additive color mixing of the light from the light pixels. A controller is provided on the LED support element, for setting a color temperature and intensity parameter of the additively color mixed light of each individual light pixel. The controller assigns electrical LED currents to the color temperature and intensity parameters and controls the LEDs in the light pixels using the assigned LED currents.

  • Patent number: 6714327
Abstract: The use of a holographic video screen which appears black, gray or colored in ambient light as the display surface in a vehicle, wherein a driver can view the screen while driving without taking his eyes of the road. Additionally, the display system containing such a video screen permits the projection and viewing of multiple images on a single screen.

  • Patent number: 6690408
Abstract: A display unit for an information processing system comprises a holographic image generating system. The information processing system may be a computer, television, telephone or other information system. The display may also be used in a large format, including a matrix of individual units, for sports arenas, road signs and the like.

  • Publication number: 20030107887
Abstract: Illumination device (1) with light emitting diodes (LED) and an LED support element (10) on which a number of light pixels (11, 11′) are arranged which emit light. Said light pixels (11′) each comprise a number of LEDs with emission wavelengths suitable for additive colour mixing of the light from the light pixels (11′). A controller (5) is provided on the LED support element (10), by means of which a colour temperature and intensity parameter of the additively colour mixed light of each individual light pixel (11′) may be set. The controller assigns electrical LED currents to the colour temperature and intensity parameters and controls the LEDs in the light pixels (11′) by means of the assigned LED currents.

  • Patent number: 6523955
Abstract: In an electronic image enhancement system, a reflex image is scanned in the interior of the eye. After modification by a processor, the image is projected back into the eye along the same path, and aligned in registration with the original scanned image. An elliptical scan pattern is used.

  • Patent number: 6213627
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting light, wherein a holographic video screen is used as part of an illuminating system. The tendency of such a video screen to backscatter light of certain wavelengths from a predefined direction into a certain solid angle area is utilized to generate holographic images at precisely defined angles. In ambient light, such a video screen need not appear black, or at least dark.
