  • Patent number: 10743674
Abstract: An electromotive dual drive for adjustment of two different furniture parts of a piece of furniture includes a housing having opposite end sections. Each end section is formed with a shaft holder for receiving a pivot shaft of the piece of furniture. Two drive units are arranged one behind another in the housing in a longitudinal direction, with each drive unit including a drive motor, a transmission, and a spindle drive including a spindle which acts on an output member operably connected to a respective one of the pivot shafts. The spindles and/or the output members of the drive units are sized of different lengths, and the drive motor of one of the drive units and the drive motor of the other one of the drive units are spaced from the shaft holders, respectively, at different distances.

  • Patent number: 8281677
Abstract: An electromotive linear drive with a drive unit having a drive motor and a spindle driven by the drive unit. The drive includes a spindle nut disposed on the spindle. The spindle nut is movable longitudinally on the spindle. A lifting tube is operatively connected to the spindle nut so that the spindle nut moves together with the lifting tube. A connecting part is disposed on a free end of the lifting tube. A braking assembly is disposed in the lifting tube and is operatively connected to the spindle nut via an adjustable, frictional connection. The braking assembly is manipulable. During operation of the drive motor, the spindle nut frictionally engages the braking assembly, preventing rotation of the spindle nut. The frictional connection may be adjusted to permit the spindle nut to rotate with respect to the spindle, thereby manipulating a linear speed component of the lifting tube.

  • Patent number: 7849756
Abstract: A linear drive for adjusting at least one movable structure includes at least one spindle drive having a rotatable spindle. Disposed on the spindle and restrained against rotation is a lifting nut which is linked to the movable structure. At least one safety mechanism is disposed on the spindle without connection to the lifting nut and restrained against rotation. The safety mechanism includes an inner nut attached to the spindle and an outer guide bushing attached onto the inner nut, wherein the inner nut and the guide bushing have an engagement structure which effects a form-fitting engagement between the inner nut and the guide bushing during normal operation and is so constructed as to effect a disengagement between the inner nut and the guide bushing, when the safety mechanism is subjected to a predefined load torque.
