  • Patent number: 4927086
Abstract: The invention relates to a grinding process and apparatus for the simultaneous production of at least two finished products of differing fineness using a ring mill. Pre-classification is carried out in the nozzle ring by adjusting the air to entrain and carry upwards relatively fine constituents. The coarser constituents are discharged downwardly by gravity and subsequently may be conveyed upwards by an elevator and subjected to a second classification in which at least a proportion is extracted as finished product.

  • Patent number: 4911554
Abstract: A rotatable drum having a casing to one end of which is joined one end of an axially extending, coaxial bearing ring having its other end joined to a driving ring gear. The bearing ring is rotatably supported on bearing surfaces which are adjustable relative to the axis of rotation of the drum so as to effect adjustments of the casing. The ring gear and its driving pinion are enclosed within a fixed housing supplied with lubricating oil. The housing has adjoining sections that are slideably connected to enable the housing to compensate for adjustments of the drum casing.

  • Patent number: 4909450
Abstract: The invention relates to a roller mill with a mill casing having a vertical axis, a grinding table rotating therein about the casing axis and two grinding rollers which roll on the grinding table and are held stationary by a roller carrier. This roller mill is intended in particular for small throughput capacities, and both grinding rollers are rigidly connected by their spindles to one another and to the roller carrier which passes diametrically through the mill casing and is flexibly and resiliently mounted or supported at its ends. In this way a simple and robust, reliable construction is produced.

  • Patent number: 4792393
Abstract: The invention relates to a sifter in which the spiral for delivery of the air for sifting is divided into a plurality of channels lying one above another in which elements for setting the quantity of sifting air delivered to the individual channels are provided. In such a sifter the quantity of sifting air in the individual regions of the sifting chamber can be optimally adapted to the requirements, which leads to a substantial improvement in the degree of separation.

  • Patent number: 4709864
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to apparatus for the crushing of material to be comminuted by means of a material bed roll mill, in which such material is forcibly delivered in a regulable mass flow to the roll gap. In this way even materials which tend to slip on the rolls can be crushed satisfactorily. It is also possible to keep the nature of the product constant over a wide range of variations in the throughput.

  • Patent number: 4694994
Abstract: The invention relates to a roller mill with a sifter arranged above it which is provided with a deflecting rotor and an adjustable ring of guide vanes. Such a construction is distinguished by a particularly high degree of separation.

  • Patent number: 4664322
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube mill in which the cylinder of the drying chamber and the transition wall which it supports are divided centrally or a number of times in the axial direction so that this cylinder and the transition wall can be replaced without the grinding elements having to be removed from the grinding chamber.

  • Patent number: 4598872
Abstract: The invention relates to grinding apparatus and a method of operating such apparatus in which the gas speed in the nozzle ring of the mill is altered as a function of the power consumption of the bucket conveyor so that the quantity of material conveyed by the bucket conveyor and the gradation of grain sizes thereof are kept constant. A control circuit alters the material supply to the mill when the gas speed in the nozzle ring exceeds a predetermined maximum value or falls below a predetermined minimum value.

  • Patent number: 4034692
Abstract: An installation for making and treating cans of metal, in which the individual working operations such as deep-drawing, ironing, trimming of the can rim and the forming of the can bottom, the washing, drying, inside coating and decorating the cans as well as the necking of the can rim and the flanging are carried out in individual working stations which are interconnected by a conveying device that feeds the raw cans in a predetermined rhythm and arrangement and in a predetermined spaced relationship to each other to the individual working stations.
