  • Patent number: 7051881
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flotation reagent and a process for the flotation of sulfidic ores. The process comprises contacting the sulfidic ores with a combination of thionocarbamates and mercaptobenzothiazoles to improve the flotation of sulfidic ores, particularly the flotation of copper ore when the copper ore is associated with molybdenum and/or gold. The flotation reagent comprises a combination of compounds of formula (1) and formula (2) where R1 and R2 independently of one another are alkyl groups having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R3 and R4 independently of one another are hydrogen or C1–C6-alkyl, and M is hydrogen or an alkali metal, and (1) and (2) are in a weight ratio of (1):(2) of 95:5 to 75:25.

  • Patent number: 6532726
Abstract: A gas-turbine engine combustion system has a combustor with a burner head having both pilot gas and pilot liquid-fuel injection arrangements, the pilot gas arrangement comprising an annular gallery communicating with a downstream face of the head and a deflecting arrangement adjacent the gallery for directing the pilot gas-fuel towards a longitudinal axis of the combustor and over a central part of the downstream face. The combustion system is designed so that, during both gas- and liquid-fuel operations, the flame front face is located close to the burner head and, during liquid-fuel operation, air is forced across the downstream face to cool the head. Advantageously, the cooling air is made to replace the pilot gas-fuel in the annular gallery, so that it is deflected, like the gas-fuel, and contacts the central part of the downstream face. The burner head also features main gas and liquid-fuel injection arrangements, these communicating with one or more passageways in a radial swirler attached to the head.

  • Patent number: 4416139
Abstract: A piercing mandrel or punch, particularly for backward extrusion, is guided by a member which centers the mandrel or punch in the upper die cavity and is coupled thereto until abutting a centering shoulder in the die cavity; the guiding and centering function continues as the mandrel or punch begins and progresses in the cold flow-working process.
