  • Patent number: 4807323
Abstract: The invention relates to a floor mop, which has a support for holding an attachment or the like provided on its underside with a plurality of fringes or the like, or with a raised-pile washing attachment or the like, consisting of two arms and a central piece, whereby the two arms of the support are pivotably linked to the central piece at their mutually facing frontal sides and the central piece is equipped with a handle holder mounted in the middle thereof.

  • Patent number: 4094037
Abstract: A wiping device includes an elongated wiping blade of elastically yieldable material, a handle, and an arrangement for replaceably mounting the blade on the handle, including an elongated mounting member of U-shaped cross-section which is supported on the handle and which bounds an elongated cavity and an elongated slot communicating the cavity with the exterior of the mounting member. The wiping blade has two marginal portions extending longitudinally of the wiping blade and each having a pair of wiping edges. The thickness of each of the marginal portions exceeds that of a central portion, and the width of the cavity exceeds that of the slot so that, when one of the marginal portions is received in the cavity and the other marginal portion can be located exteriorly of the mounting member, the latter is used for wiping and the former prevents extraction of the wiping blade through the slot.

  • Patent number: 4094036
Abstract: A floor cleaning device includes a holding member which is of generally U-shaped cross-sectional configuration, including a bight interconnecting two arms, which together bound a recess for partially receiving a cleaning element so that a cleaning edge of the latter is in an exposed working position. The cleaning element has a plurality of passages, and a plurality of connecting members, such as bolts, is received in the passages, being connected to one of the arms and extending toward the other arm. One of the arms can be removably mounted on the bight. The connecting members may be connected either directly to the other arm, or to a mounting plate which is connectable to one of the arms of the holding member. The passages are uniformly distributed in the cleaning element, preferably in the central region thereof, so that the cleaning element can be mounted on the holding member in any position in which one of the cleaning edges thereof is in the working position.

  • Patent number: 4089111
Abstract: A utility tool, such as a scraper, trimmer, cutter and the like, has a tool element and an elongated handle element, the tool element being mounted on the handle element for movement between an extended position in which a working edge portion of the tool element assumes a working position outside the handle element, and a retracted position in which the tool element is accommodated in an internal cavity of the handle portion. The handle element has a cam track, such as a guide slot, and the tool element has a follower pin which guides the tool element during its movement between the two positions thereof. The guide slot has two sections which enclose an angle with one another, one of the sections extending along the front end of the handle element, and the other section extending along a longitudinal marginal portion of the handle element. The front end of the handle element and the associated cam track section enclose an acute angle with the elongation of the handle element.
