  • Patent number: 7229868
Abstract: The invention relates to an organic field-effect transistor, to a method for structuring an OFET and to an integrated circuit with improved structuring of the functional polymer layers. The improved structuring is obtained by introducing, using a doctor blade, the functional polymer in the mold layer in which recesses are initially produced by imprinting.

  • Patent number: 7148010
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for proving the existence of a polynucleotide sequence A in a sample containing a plurality of identical or different polynucleotide sequences X as individual strands and where the polynucleotide sequence A may be identical with one of the polynucleotide sequences X or may be contained as a sequence portion in one of the polynucleotide sequences X, through the inquiry of the state of linkage of the polynucleotide sequences X contained in the sample to a known test polynucleotide sequence B complementary to the polynucleotide sequence A, comprising the following steps: preparation of a test medium containing as individual strands test polynucleotide sequences B complementary to the polynucleotide sequence A which is to be proven, establishing contact of the sample with the test medium by placing the sample into or onto the test medium such that the individual strands of the polynucleotide sequences X contained in the sample may bind to the complementary test polynucleotide seq

  • Patent number: 6618423
Abstract: The invention relates to a passive mode locked femtosecond laser whose ring resonator comprises the elements: a) a laser-active element 1, b) at least a dielectric mirror 2 having a negative group velocity dispersion GVD such that for a continuous part of the optical spectrum amplifieable by the laser-active element the sum of the group velocity dispersion of the mirror 2 and the positive group velocity dispersion of the laser-active element 1 is negative, i.e. ∑ n ⁢ GVD n < 0 c) two concave mirrors 21 and 22 which are spatial adjacent next to the laser-active element and which are orientated with their concave surfaces towards the laser-active element 1 and d) an optical output coupler 3.

  • Patent number: 4679901
Abstract: The invention relates to a compound blazed optical phase grating. The grating comprises at least two grating sections which are disposed opposite each other in parallel planes. The gratings have grooves which extend parallel to each other. The grating sections have equal grating periods and are movable relative to each other within their planes and perpendicular to the grooves. Over one grating period, the optical path length varies at least substantially parabolically and symmetrically relative to the grating period. The path length varies in such a manner that when both grating sections are symmetrically arranged relative to a common line perpendicular to the grating planes, the optical path length through the compound grating is uniform across the grating. Various optical switches and switching matrixes can be formed by using such compound phase gratings.

  • Patent number: 4414552
Abstract: The printing head of an ink jet printer includes several tubular nozzle ducts which have the same cross-section and on each of which there is arranged a cylindrical drive member. Each nozzle duct is constructed to be integral with its ejection nozzle and the damping member at its rear, and opens perpendicularly into the distribution duct via which the ink is applied to all nozzle ducts. At the area between the drive members and the nozzles, the nozzle ducts are bent, such that they extend parallel to one another in the other zones, the distances at the area of the nozzles being determined by the distance required between the ink droplets which are mosaic-wise deposited on the record carrier and at the rear area by the dimensions of the drive members.
