Patent number: 10161211Abstract: A system and method for locking together a running tool and a tubular member to rotate the tubular member. The system includes a tubular member and a running tool adapted to engage in a mechanical connection such that the running tool and the tubular member are arranged concentrically and moveable longitudinally together. The system includes a locking assembly adapted to lock the tubular member and the running tool together once the tubular member and the running tool are engaged in the mechanical connection, so that torque applied to the running tool is applied to the tubular member through the locking assembly to rotate the running tool and the tubular member synchronously. The locking assembly is adapted to unlock the tubular member and the running tool when the tubular member is landed on a shoulder of an outer tubular member so that the mechanical connection can then be disengaged.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2016Date of Patent: December 25, 2018Assignee: Stream-Flo Industries Ltd.Inventors: Todd Anthony Travis, Chi Yao, Eric Calzoncinth, Heinrich Lang

Patent number: 9005705Abstract: A method for producing a substrate with a copper or a copper-containing coating is disclosed. The method comprises a first step wherein a first precursor, a second precursor and a substrate are provided. The first precursor is a copper complex that contains no fluorine and the second precursor is selected from a ruthenium complex, a nickel complex, a palladium complex or mixtures thereof. In the second step, a layer is deposited at least on partial regions of a surface of the substrate by using the first precursor and the second precursor by means of atomic layer deposition (ALD). The molar ratio of the first precursor:second precursor used for the ALD extends from 90:10 to 99.99:0.01. The obtained layer contains copper and at least one of ruthenium, nickel and palladium. Finally, a reduction is performed step in which a reducing agent acts on the substrate obtained after depositing the copper-containing layer.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2011Date of Patent: April 14, 2015Assignees: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der Angewandten Forschung E.V., Technische Universitaet ChemnitzInventors: Thomas Waechtler, Stefan Schulz, Thomas Gessner, Steve Mueller, André Tuchscherer, Heinrich Lang

Patent number: 8960276Abstract: A wellhead seal device forms metal seals in an annular space between inner and outer tubular members such as a rough casing held within aligned casing and tubing heads. An annular metal sealing sleeve has a lower portion seated in the annular space, and an upper portion which forms an inner sealing annulus adjacent the outer wall of the inner tubular member. A metal seal ring and a wedge ring are located in the inner sealing annulus. A retaining ring is retained by the upper portion above the wedge ring. Threaded seal energizing members extend through the retaining ring to push downwardly on the wedge ring and compress the metal seal ring radially inwardly to form a metal seal to the inner tubular member and thus seal the inner sealing annulus. The lower portion of the annular metal sealing sleeve may seal to the casing head and to the casing.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2011Date of Patent: February 24, 2015Assignee: Stream-Flo Industries Ltd.Inventors: Heinrich Lang, Tony M. Patent number: 8246266Abstract: A first linkage component including a ball socket having a concave profiling and a second linkage component including a projection having a convex profiling received in the concave profiling of the ball socket. A sliding plate carried between the ball socket and projection having a convex profiling conforming to the concave profiling of the ball socket and a concave profiling conforming to the convex profiling of the projection. The convex profilings of the projection and sliding plate have a larger radius of curvature than the concave profilings of the sliding plate and the ball socket. A connecting rod connects the first linkage component, the second linkage component, and the sliding plate together. Wherein the larger radius of curvature of the convex profiling of the sliding plate and projection causes the projection and sliding plate to be further received in the ball socket after abrasive wear to prevent play between components.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2007Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignee: Lang-Mekra North America, LLCInventors: Heinrich Lang, Wolfgang Seiboth, Stefan Centmayer
