  • Patent number: 5454709
Abstract: An injection-moulding machine with a movable and a stationary mould-clamping plate (1, 2), wherein struts (4) are mounted in the stationary mould-clamping plate (1, 2), the struts connecting together the movable and stationary mould-clamping plates (1, 2) during the injection operation. The movable mould-clamping plate (2) is able to travel on rails (9) by way of a bracket-like running shoe (14), and, on opening the mould, is able to be released from the struts (4). Carriages (17) with rollers (18) are provided which are pivotally mounted to the movable mould-clamping plate (2) and which are tiltable about a horizontal axis (19) relative to the mould-clamping plate (2) and relative to the running shoes (14). Each running shoe (14) has a front roller (15) which can be raised from the rails (9) and lateral guide rollers (20) with vertical axes of rotation which roll down smooth guide surfaces (30) of the rails (9) and which are likewise raised from the rails (9) during the injection operation.

  • Patent number: 5297952
Abstract: An injection molding machine has a machine frame, a stationary and a movable die platen, as well as a front plate supporting a closure mechanism. The front plate on which the movable die platen is supported via the closure mechanism and the stationary die platen are without bars and connected exclusively via the machine frame. The closing force occurring during the closing process and the lifting force occurring during the injection process between the front plate and the die platen are borne only by the machine frame. The movable die platen is guided on at least one rail supported on the machine frame. The closure mechanism is a toggle joint whose levers are rotatably articulated, on the one hand, at the movable die platen and, on the other hand, at the front plate.

  • Patent number: 4961372
Abstract: A closing mechanism of an injection molding machine has a piston-cylinder unit to be pressurized hydraulically. Two partial strokes can be carried out in the unit, of which the first can be run through faster than the second. A displacement tube (7) extends into a main cylinder chamber (6) and into an inner cylinder chamber (4) of a piston (2) of the piston-cylinder unit. The displacement tube (7) is fastened to an end wall of the main cylinder (1) and is open at its free end. The piston (2) is designed as a plunger and is spaces on all sides from the cylinder wall (5) of the cylinder (1) of the piston-cylinder unit. The piston (2) is guided in a flanged gland (15) which is screwed to the cylinder (1).
