  • Patent number: 7150595
Abstract: An undercut anchor element comprising a shank of an anchor bolt. The shank passes through a base part, which is provided for effecting an anchoring, passes through a spacer sleeve, and at the end thereof is provided with a tightening head. The tightening head can be pulled inside the base part, which is subdivided into anchoring segments by slots provided over a portion of the length of the base part. The slots lead from the front free end of the base part up and into the area of an encircling groove. The anchoring segments have the outer shape of two truncated cones which coincide with their ends that have a smaller diameter. The truncated cone that is located in front in a direction of mounting has an obtuse cone angle of greater than 150° and the adjoining truncated cone has an acute cone angle of less than 30°.

  • Patent number: 5108240
Abstract: Toggle bolt having an anchor screw threaded over at least a portion of its length, on whose end which is to be anchored in the cavity a toggle is mounted for pivoting between the legs of a shackle, between an insertion position aligned with the anchor screw and a locking position in which it lies across the axis of the latter.

  • Patent number: 4690597
Abstract: The dowel (14) comprises an elongated fastening bolt (26) provided at its rear end, at the outer end of the hole, with a threaded nut or bolt head (30), a head part (34) being arranged at its front end, at the inner end of the hole, upon which are mounted, by means of a conically tapering component (38) arranged displaceably upon the said fastening bolt, locking elements (36) adapted to pivot radially outwardly into a position engaging in the undercut. Displacement of the said conically tapering component is effected by a distance sleeve (42) arranged upon the said fastening bolt (26) and adjoining the said conically tapering element.

  • Patent number: 4613254
Abstract: An expanding bolt anchor with setting force indication, has a slitted expanding sleeve which can be expanded by at least one expander engaging the bore-internal end. In the bore-internal expander (26) there is held a threaded bolt (30) which is carried in a freely displaceable manner through the expanding sleeve (20), and a spacing sleeve (32) adjoining on the bore-orifice end, the bolt terminating in a bolt head (34) or in a nut threaded thereon, under which a washer (30) is disposed which lies on the upper side of a workpiece (10) to be fastened and through which the spacing sleeve displaceably passes.

  • Patent number: 4500239
Abstract: Toggle bolt (10) which can be set interlockingly in an undercut bore (12) and having locking elements disposed for pivoting on the toggle bolt front end and biased by a spring (32) for an excursion into the position of engagement with the undercut (16).The locking elements (22) are secured against excursion by a clasping element (46) embracing them, which has the form of a plastic sleeve (48) from whose rearward end a circumferential annular flange projects radially whose outside diameter is greater than the diameter of the corresponding mounting bore (12). Upon the introduction of the toggle bolt (10) into the mounting bore (12), the annular flange (50) holds the clasping element (46) back at the outer end of the mounting bore, the locking elements (22) being pushed out of the sleeve (48) and being then able to swing out freely.Thin tabs (42) pointing radially inward on the sleeve (48) prevent a premature pushing of the clasping element (46) away from the locking elements (22) prior to the setting process.

  • Patent number: 4411324
Abstract: A bore undercutting tool which is composed of a barrel and a cutter feed driver which is inserted for longitudinal displacement but also for co-rotation into the barrel and projects from the rearward end thereof. In a slot provided in the forward end portion of the barrel there is fulcrumed a cutter in the form of a two-armed lever which can be rocked by a cutter feed cam provided on the forward end of the cutter feed driver, in proportion to the longitudinal displacement of the latter relative to the barrel, such that a cutting tool disposed on the one lever arm can either be retracted into the slot or rocked out of same. A spring biases the barrel and the cutter feed driver toward a position in which the cutting tool is withdrawn into the slot.

  • Patent number: 4315708
Abstract: Toggle (10) which can be set form-fittingly on the undercut surface of a bore, having an elongated fastening bolt (18) on whose bore-internal end locking elements (22) are mounted, which can be rocked outwardly by a conical component (28) disposed axially displaceably on the fastening bolt (18) from a position lying within the diameter of the bore (12) to a position engaging the undercut surface (17). The locking elements (22) are supported on a bottom piece (20) on the bore-internal end of the fastening bolt (18) and have the form of sleeve segments integrating, in the non-outspread position, a thick-walled sleeve. Between the axially displaceably disposed conical component (28) and a bolt head, or a nut (38), there is disposed a coil spring (32) which can be placed under bias by axial compression.

  • Patent number: 4293259
Abstract: Toggle which can be set against the face of an undercut provided within a bore, and having an elongated bolt, on whose bore-internal end locking elements are mounted, which, by means of a conical component disposed for axial displacement on the bolt, can be expanded outwardly from a position in which they are within the diameter of the bore to a position in which they engage the face of the undercut. The locking elements are supported on a bottom piece on the end of the bolt within the bore, and are in the form of segments of a thick-walled cylinder when in the retracted position. A variety of anti-rotational means are provided to prevent the toggle from turning during the setting operations.

  • Patent number: 4011786
Abstract: An expandable dowel for insertion into a borehole comprising an expandable sleeve with one or more slots extending from one end thereof and expandable by at least one expanding member which engages the slotted sleeve, a screw-threaded bolt which is in screw-threaded engagement with the expanding member and has a shaft which is passed through a spacer sleeve adjacent the unslotted end of the expandable sleeve. The spacer sleeve is retained on the screw-threaded bolt by a bolt head or a nut screwed upon the screw-threaded bolt. The spacer sleeve, or a washer located between the spacer sleeve and said bolt head or nut is/are constructed so that it/they can be elastically or plastically deformed up to a predetermined amount by a force which acts axially of the bolt.
