  • Publication number: 20170001592
Abstract: An airbag covering with a covering element (20) with an upper side and a lower side and at least two axially extending openings (22) from an upper end to a lower end, and with an emblem or design element on the covering element (20). The design element has at least two fastening pins (34) extending in the axial direction from the emblem section (32) through one opening (22). The fastening pin (34) has a thickened head (36) produced by thermal deformation. At least sections of the contact surface (38) of the head (36), which contact surface (38) faces the lower side of the covering element, do not extend perpendicularly to the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 7003841
Abstract: The invention relates to a surface treating machine, comprising: a frame (1) and a chassis (2, 3) to enable the machine to move over a surface (S) such as a floor. A head (5) is supported by the frame and comprises means (6) for directly contacting, scrubbing or maintaining said surface. The head (5) is freely movable up and down with respect to the chassis (2, 3) and is loaded downwardly by a pressure to adapt to the level of the surface. At least a part of the pressure on the head (5) is derived from the weight of the machine itself. Preferably, the head (5) is connected to a first lever arm (8) of a two armed lever (7) A second arm (9) of the lever (7) is connected to the chassis (2, 3), whereas a pivoting point (10) of the lever (7) is fixed to the frame (1) of the machine. In this way, the pressure on the head is not only provided by the weight of the machine, but the head is also easily adapting to ramps and descents in the surfaces, while the pressure on the head is maintained.

  • Patent number: 6978594
Abstract: A sawtooth wire to be laid in a groove of a shredding-element-carrier of a disintegrating roll of an open-end spinning apparatus is brought into a shape, which essentially represents that shape, which the sawtooth wire is to assume on the shredding-element carrier. The sawtooth wire is preshaped on a dummy body, the circumference of which predominately conforms to that of the shredding-element carrier, or the sawtooth wire is directly preshaped on the shredding-element carrier of the disintegrating roll. The preshaped sawtooth wire is subsequently hardened, preferably inductively with the aid of a high frequency alternating current with a frequency of more than 1000 kHz. In this manner, a disintegrating roll is made, the abrasion resistant shredding element of which, after the preshaping, i.e., after is securement on the shredding-element carrier, is a hardened shredding element.

  • Patent number: 6212731
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning floors having an undercarriage including front and rear axles (1,3) bearing at least one wheel (2,4) and a driver's seat. A steering mechanism is connected to one of the axles (1,3) for steering the apparatus. There are provided front cleaning element (5) near the front axle (1) for carrying out a first cleaning step and rear cleaning element (6) for carrying out a second cleaning step. The front and rear axles (1,3) are operatively connected in order to steer both axles in a predetermined relationship, such that the front and rear cleaning elements (5,6) follow substantially the same path.

  • Patent number: 5642713
Abstract: A process for controlling a piston internal combustion engine by maintaining a running limit thereof. The process includes the steps of: detecting in at least one cylinder, over at least one work cycle and without reference to a crankshaft position of the engine, a measured variable which is influenced by a conversion of fuel into energy; setting the measured variable in relation to a detected, stored measured variable of at least one previously intercepted work cycle; and producing an adjusting signal from any deviation between the measured variables for inputting the adjusting signal to an engine regulation system. The measured variable can be either a pressure course, a light intensity or an ion current corresponding to the combustion process within the engine.

  • Patent number: 4045863
Abstract: Method of producing a metallic carrier system mounting, making conductive contact with a semi-conductor member through relatively thin tongue-like inner feed lines made from a different metal than the metal of the carrier. The inner feed lines are made from a metal that can readily be connected with the electrodes of the semi-conductor, such as nickel. The thin feed lines extend from the outer support and connection legs and are made from a different metal that can readily be soldered, such as brass and have conductive contact with said legs. The inner feed lines and carrier are made by an etching process. The inner feed lines supporting the semi-conductor are resilient, and by their resiliency balance thermal expansion between the semi-conductor substrate and the coarse structure of the connection legs of the system carrier.

  • Patent number: 4006239
Abstract: Benzoic acid amides characterized by the presence of a hydroxy or amino substituent in the phenyl ring, or an alkylated or acylated derivative thereof and by a heterocyclic group connected to the amide nitrogen atom through a hydrocarbon chain are antibacterial agents and in particular anti-tuberculosis agents. The compounds, of which N-[pyridyl-(2)-methyl]-2-hydroxybenzoic acid amide is a typical embodiment, are prepared by the reaction of an appropriately substituted benzoic acid, or derivative thereof, with an appropriate amine.
