Abstract: A line pipe of synthetic material for nominal sizes about 200 mm, especially a waste water pipe, comprising a separate smooth inner pipe and a transversely corrugated outer pipe, the pipes being telescoped into one another in such a manner that the wave troughs of the outer pipe come to lie essentially against the outer surface of the inner pipe, and connection means at the ends for the connection of several line pipes to form a pipeline via a socket joint, whereby the inner pipe has smooth cylindrical end portions projecting above the ends of the outer pipe, with a cylindrical sleeve of a predetermined outer diameter being pushed onto said end portions and fastened thereat by welding and/or adhesion.

Abstract: A carrier matrix for use in the manufacture of a catalytic reactor for the purification of exhaust gases in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle is prepared by joining in wound form a corrugated steel sheet and a generally flat steel sheet, the sheets being joined in locations where they contact one another by the use of solder or brazing material. In one embodiment solder is applied in spots along the tops of the arches of the corrugated sheet, and after coiling the solder is activated by heating. In another embodiment, coiling is first carried out and then soldering is accomplished by the application of solder into one or both end faces of the coil.

Abstract: A box formed building panel has a section in the end walls that joins the panel to an adjacent panel and seals the joint against heat loss. The joining and sealing functions may be combined in a single construction, such as a wedge-shaped projection on one panel insertable into a sealant containing groove in the other panel, or, separate projection and groove combinations may be used for joinder and for sealing. Internal walls and stiffeners may be mounted in the building panel. The building panel may be filled with foam and auxiliary panels mounted on the building panel.

Abstract: A mobile plant for manufacturing corrugated drain pipe includes an extrusion apparatus, a pipe molding means and a coiling machine for coiling up the extruded pipe. The apparatus may conveniently be mounted in a trailer for transport.

Abstract: Sedimentation apparatus which employs an agitator-equipped mixing tank for a feed suspension and a flocculating agent or flocculant, which mixing tank is located within the central feed well of a continuously operating sedimentation tank, and wherein the flocculant-treated feed suspension overflows the top end of the mixing tank, then to continue along a downward path in the surrounding feed well of the tank.
