  • Patent number: 5657665
Abstract: A fill level indicator (7) for a tank (6) of an internal combustion engine (5) has a housing (8) with an inner chamber (9) connected to the tank (6) to allow the fill level indicator (7) to be visible. The housing (8) includes an upwardly directed housing strip (21) which projects laterally from an outer face (20) of the housing (8). The housing strip (21), when in a fitted condition, engages a groove (19) of an edge (16) to an upwardly directed opening (24) which is closed by a cover (14) which may be fixed to the housing (8). The cover (14) includes at least one lug (28) which is tensionable against the tank edge (16) and the cover (14) extends over an upper end (13) of the housing (8). A labyrinth seal is provided between the housing (8) and the cover (14), and the seal forms connecting ventilation channels (25, 26, 27), arranged one above the other.

  • Patent number: 5205498
Abstract: A cutting device for a chipper used in cutting up garden waste, such as branches, foliage, grass or the like, includes a rotatable cutter disk cooperating with a stationary counter knife located within a cutter housing. The counter knife extends across the cutter disk in a bridge-like manner. A counter brace along with a side support plate of the counter knife provide a support for the material to be chopped, so that a satisfactory cut is assured.

  • Patent number: 4634248
Abstract: A photographic camera for producing a composite picture comprises a casing including means for focussing an image of an external object or scene on a first portion of an unexposed photographic medium disposed in an image plane within the casing and a plurality of projection systems for focussing respective static thematic images, illuminated by a flash tube within the casing, on other respective portions of the medium. The flash tube is located within a portion of the casing which is separated from the thematic images by a light-diffusing plate, the light-diffusing plate being located close to the thematic images for illumination thereof. The projection systems have different aperture sizes each related to the distance of the flash tube from the portion of the plate adjacent the thematic image which is focussed on the medium by the respective projection system, whereby uneven illumination of the different thematic images by the flash tube is at least partially compensated at the image plane.

  • Patent number: 4626091
Abstract: A photographic camera for producing a composite picture comprises a casing including means for producing an image of an external object or scene on a first portion of an unexposed photographic medium disposed in an image plane within the casing and a plurality of projection systems for producing respective static thematic images on other respective portions of the medium. The light from each projection system is transmitted freely within the casing to the vicinity of the image plane, and a multi-aperture framing element is provided adjacent the image plane. The light from each projection system and the light from the external object or scene pass through respective apertures of the framing element to fall on respective areas of the medium which are delimited from each other by the apertures of the framing element.

  • Patent number: 3938687
Abstract: Two symmetrical, axially separable barrel halves of plastic material are provided at their confronting end faces with peripheral edge beads each forming a set of axially projecting teeth alternating with gaps of like width, the teeth of each half fitting into the gaps of the other. The free ends of the teeth are provided with radially extending bosses forming two annular crenelations separated by a substantially flat ring zone upon the interfitting of the teeth, this zone receiving a broad strap inserted between the two crenelations to hold the barrel halves together. The peripheral edge beads are further provided, radially inwardly of the teeth and gaps, with axially extending tenons and mortises or equivalent tongue-and-groove formations to provide a supplemental bracing effect. The inner strap surface may be correspondingly beveled to exert upon the free tooth ends an elastic biasing force urging the two barrel halves toward each other in the axial direction.
