  • Patent number: 5212935
Abstract: The harvesting device for harvesting corn or other grains is embodied as an attachment for a combine and provided with a draw-in device (3) and one picking gap for separating the cobs from the plants (stalks). Furthermore, the harvesting device has one driven picking roller (4) with beater plates per row, as well as a cheek-like guide plate associated with this picking roller (4) and partially enshrouding it, or alternatively, a bracing support extending paraxially to the picking roller and embodied as a driven counter-roller (5). A connection piece (20) acting as a separating and comminuting cutter and stabilizing the distance between the picking roller (4) and the bracing support (5) is disposed in the plant intake (PE) between the picking roller (4) and bracing support (5).

  • Patent number: 4942724
Abstract: A positional regulation of a mowing mechanism is effected in terms of height as a function of a ground pressure signal (SB) and in terms of swiveling in the transverse direction as a function of lateral ground clearance signals (SL, SR), the adjusting signals being carried to hydraulic valves (VT, VH; VL, VR).The goal is to increase the accuracy and freedom from fluctuation in the course of the mowing mechanism cutting height. The ground clearance signals (SL, SR) are used in proportion with the ground pressure signal (SB) for vertical position regulation. A linkage of these signals (SL, SR, SB) with further transducer signals and a method for automatic adaptation of the regulating characteristic by varying the hystereses and idle times of the regulators (V1, V1) is disclosed. The regulating apparatus is used in harvesting and threshing combines when low-height crops are to be mowed and when the ground is bumpy and soft.

  • Patent number: 4903470
Abstract: A self-propelling harvester thresher comprises a conveyor, a two-part cutting mechanism having two cutting mechanism halves which are turnable substantially in a horizontal plane between a working position and a transporting position, elements allowing the turning of the cutting mechanism halves and including two turnable supports and a joint vertically extending hinge axle. The cutting mechanism halves are each connected through a respective one of the turnable supports with the inclined conveyor and also are connected with one another by the hinge axle.
