    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for measuring life functions of a human being, particularly an infant, by way of a support acting on the basis of pressure changes as a life condition monitor which also comprises temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and the like and acts on the measuring and display device connected to the support and functioning in response to pressure changes. The method and apparatus are particularly characterized in that the support emits a signal which reflects the rib cage or, respectively, diaphragm motion during respiration and the motion of the cardiac muscles.
