  • Publication number: 20110003311
Abstract: Diagnosis system or immunoassay for the determination of the effective parathyroid hormone activity in a sample, and for a diagnosis and treatment of calcium metabolism disturbances, osteopathies and hyper- or hypoparathyroidisms. The parathyroid hormone activity is measured with the aid of an antibody which binds to an epitope in the region of the receptor binding structure 15 to 22 of the parathyroid hormone, and an antibody which recognises whether the amino-terminal end 1 to 3 of the parathyroid hormone is intact. The assay permits the antagonistic characteristics of some parathyroid hormone fragments to be taken into account.

  • Patent number: 7790398
Abstract: Method for determining the active parathyroid hormone content in a sample, wherein the component of parathyroid hormone polypeptide chains which are oxidized at one or more sites near the PTH receptor binding structure having the amino acids 15 to 22 are specifically excluded from the content determination. Oxidation of the parathyroid hormone occurs in particular in dialysis patients, their blood plasma being exposed to an oxidation stress in the dialysis. The invention is based on the use of antibodies which bind specific conformation epitopes of the oxidised or reduced parathyroid hormone and its fragments. Further, there is provided a test system for the quantitative determination of parathyroid hormone and active fragments hereof in a sample.

  • Patent number: 7675633
Abstract: A method for measuring structures (3) on a substrate (2) with a coordinate measuring machine (1) is disclosed. A predefined measuring method is used for measuring at least one structure (3) on the substrate (2), wherein the measuring includes the position and/or the width of the structure (3). The predefined measuring method consists of a plurality of processes linked with the coordinate system (1a) of the coordinate measuring machine (2). The measuring method for a substrate is defined by a first orientation with respect to the coordinate system of the coordinate measuring machine (1). The predefined measuring method is applied to a second orientation of the substrate (2).

  • Publication number: 20060200103
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solid regenerated standard viscose fibre. The fibre according to the invention has a cross section the area of which is larger than the area of the largest equilateral triangle inscribed into said cross section by a factor of less than 2.50 times, preferably less than 2.40 times, especially preferred less than 2.25 times. Furthermore, the fibre according to the invention has a Syngina absorbency as defined hereinbefore of more than 6.0 g/g fibre.

  • Patent number: 7072765
Abstract: A method for calculating a route from a starting location to a destination location is described; it is characterized in that the route is calculated after specifying at least one pass-through destination location by way of at least one pass-through destination point, which is situated in a circumscribed area of the at least one pass-through destination location specified by a specified criterion. In contrast with the route calculation method known from the related art, the specified pass-through destinations are not part of the trip route, but instead, except for a specified circumscribed area, they function as vaguely specified interpolation points for influencing the route calculation.

  • Patent number: 6996089
Abstract: A method of transmitting digitally coded traffic information is described, in which a digitally coded traffic message including location information is transmitted is standard format, preferably according to the TMC method. When the location information in the traffic message requires change and/or completion, a header is provided in front of the traffic message, which indicates that additional information including changes or additions to the location information in the traffic message follows the traffic message. A receiver for reception and analysis of the digitally coded traffic information is also provided, which analyses the traffic information including the additional information to obtain the changed or completed location information.

  • Patent number: 6996469
Abstract: A method of route calculation in an vehicle navigation device is described, whereby a route from a starting location or a current location to a destination location is calculated, so that in the case of a deficiency in the vehicle or a deficiency impairing the driver of the vehicle, the route to an alternate destination location which has facilities for eliminating the deficiency is calculated instead of the original destination location. In addition, a method of navigation of a driver of a vehicle from a starting location to at least one destination location is also described, a trip route from the starting location or a current location to the at least one destination location being determined, and driving instructions being generated as a function of a current location so that in the case of a deficiency in the vehicle or a deficiency impairing the driver of the vehicle, the trip route to an alternate destination location which has the facilities for eliminating the deficiency is calculated.
