    Abstract: A device used to feed fiber slivers to a processing machine with at least one sliver guide. The sliver guide is provided with a guiding surface over which the fiber sliver is guided. The guiding surface also serves as a sliver monitoring device.The sliver guide is produced in a process in which the housing of the sliver guide, standing on its head, together with its guiding surface, is clamped over a die. A sensor is inserted into the housing from the side opposite the guiding surface and is embedded therein in a casting compound.
