  • Patent number: 4236632
Abstract: An improved magnetic conveyor belt in which the belt support is a U-shaped iron rail having a plurality of permanent magnets disposed in the middle of its web between the two legs of the U with the spaces remaining between the magnets themselves and between the magnets and the legs of the rail filled to the level of the permanent magnets with a material which is magnetically non-conductive, thus completely filling in a portion of the U-shaped rail to a predetermined level upon which surface the conveyor rides either directly or through a metal sheet interposed between the top of the magnets and insulating material and the belt whereby the legs of the iron rail will be polarized in one direction and the center portion above the other pole of the magnets polarized in the other direction resulting in a magnetic field extending over a large volumetric space thereby permitting bulkier objects to be reliably carried on the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 4234076
Abstract: A magnetic roller conveyor for transporting magnetically conductive objects comprises at least two magnetically conductive rollers and at least two pairs of permanent magnets each located adjacent to and connected with the respective axial end portions of the respective rollers. The magnets of the same pair of magnets are polarized differently with respect to each other, whereas the magnets connected to the same roller are polarized identically with respect to each other. The rollers and the magnets connected thereto form together a magnetically closed path. The rollers are rotatably mounted on magnetically conductive shafts which latter also form a part of the above magnetically closed path. A second magnet system may be provided which is mirror-inverted with respect to the above-mentioned first magnetic system so that force of attraction of the rollers is doubled. Switching members are further provided operative for demagnetizing and subsequently remagnetizing of the rollers.

  • Patent number: 4224590
Abstract: Magnetic-technical systems useful in magnetic separators for separating magnetic materials from liquid or dry materials containing magnetic particles. The magnetic technical systems are characterized by possessing one magnetic circuit comprising at least two magnets and at least one operating air gap, and being further characterized by the fact that the circuit containing the magnets is closed and that within said circuit there is an operating gap in relation to two mild iron or steel parts which in each case are arranged between two interconnected homopolar magnets.

  • Patent number: 4196639
Abstract: A friction gear permanent magnetic entrainment means for rolling transmission of motion in combination with a magnetic-technical system having one magnetic circuit comprising at least two magnets and at least one operating air gap, including a frame being composed of symmetrically arranged permanent magnets and symmetrically arranged mild iron or steel parts, with the mild iron or steel parts arranged between analogous poles of the magnets forming central frontal surfaces drawn into the interior of the frame, which central frontal surfaces are opposing one another forming an operating air gap with opposite polarities in the direction of magnetizing.

  • Patent number: 3960716
Abstract: A magnetic system is mounted for rotation in a housing along the inner surface thereof. The housing is stationarily supported in a jacket having an inlet and outlet and defining with the outer surface of the housing a passage for a material containing magnetically attractable particles between the inlet and the outlet. As the material passes through the passage, the magnetically attractable particles are attracted to the outer surface of the housing and dragged along the same to a predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 3948766
Abstract: The device comprises a magnetic circuit having an air gap into which a mixture of magnetically attractable and magnetically non-attractable materials can be passed. The magnetic circuit includes a rotatably mounted separator roller comprised of magnetizable material, with the periphery of the roller being located adjacent to the air gap. The magnetic circuit further includes a permanent magnet arrangement located exteriorly of the separator roller and operative for establishing a flow of flux through the magnetic circuit and across the air gap and operates for magnetizing the separator roller by induction so that magnetically attractable material in a mixture entering the air gap will be segregated by the separator roller.
