  • Publication number: 20180118009
Abstract: A convertible vehicle top displaceable between closed and storage positions, and which has a top linkage, which, on both sides with respect to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, may extend through a linkage exit opening of a vehicle trim when the top is in the closed position, each of the linkage exit openings on both sides being provided with a cover, the cover having a panel which can be displaced between a cover position, in which it covers the linkage exit opening, and an open position, in which the linkage exit opening is open. Each cover can have a guiding device, which guides the respective panel on a curved track in the direction of the vehicle front and outward in the transverse direction with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle when the panel is displaced from the cover position into the open position.

  • Publication number: 20170334276
Abstract: A convertible top having a top cover and a top linkage which can be displaced between a closed position, in which a vehicle interior is covered, and a storage position, in which the vehicle interior is open toward the top, and which has a linkage arrangement on both sides with respect to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top, each linkage arrangement having two main links pivotably mounted on a main bearing fixed to the vehicle and one of which is driven by means of a main drive. Panel bows extend between the bilaterally arranged linkage arrangements, a first one of said panel bows being a front bow, a second one being a front center bow, a third one being a rear center bow and a fourth one being a rear window bow. In the storage position, the rear center bow can be arranged below the rear window bow.

  • Publication number: 20170259653
Abstract: A convertible top having a top cover and a cover linkage adjustable between a closed position and a storage position and which has a linkage arrangement on each of its two sides linkage arrangement pivotably mounted on a respective main bearing, which is fixed to the vehicle, via a main multi-joint arrangement comprising two main links, a rear bow realized as a panel bow mounted on each of the bilaterally arranged linkage arrangements via a rear link arrangement. The two bilaterally arranged rear link arrangements can each be actuated by means of a drive lever, which drives the respective rear link arrangement starting from the closed position in a first opening phase while the main multi-joint arrangement is static and drives the respective rear link arrangement in the opposite direction of the respective main multi-joint arrangement in a second opening phase.

  • Publication number: 20170015181
Abstract: A top of a convertible vehicle includes a top linkage. A linkage mechanism forming part of the top linkage is on each of two opposing sides of the top linkage with respect to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. Each linkage mechanism includes a main multi joint mechanism pivotably mounted on a vehicle-fixed main bearing, a middle roof link, a forward roof link pivotably connected to the middle roof link, and a rear roof link pivotably connected to the middle roof link. The forward roof link and the rear roof link are pivotable together in relation to the middle roof link by a coupling rod, and the main multi joint mechanism is driven by a main drive. The forward roof link and the rear roof link are driven by the main drive via a coupling device so as to pivot in relation to the middle roof link.

  • Patent number: 9057212
Abstract: A convertible top of a cabriolet adjustable between a closed position spanning a vehicle interior and a storage position opening the vehicle interior toward the top includes a forward rigid roof element. The roof element extends in the transverse direction of the convertible top and can be secured to a forward cowl by at least one lock arrangement in a closed position of the convertible top. The lock arrangement includes a locking hook adjustable between a locked position and an open position and which is engaged with a corresponding locking element in the locked position. A holding device ensures that the locking hook and the corresponding locking element remain engaged in the closed position of the convertible top and in the locked position of the locking hook if the cowl is offset with regard to the rigid roof element.
