  • Publication number: 20090308952
Abstract: A sanitary water-outlet fitting (1) which has a water outlet (2) that is provided on the outflow side in the region of the water outlet (2), with a flow guide (3) which has at least one perforated plate (4), screen or lamellar structure with a number of outlet holes or outlet openings (6) surrounded by flow-guide walls (7). The flow guide (3) is configured as a jet regulator, and the flow-guide walls (7) of at least individual outlet holes or outlet openings (6) are arranged at an angle to the flow direction of the water flowing into the flow guide (3) on the inflow side, and the flow-guide walls (7) of these outlet holes or outlet openings (6) deflect the inflowing water stream in a direction of their longitudinal extent. It has been found that such a flow guide (3) is capable of deflecting the water in the direction of the axial position of the flow-guide walls (7), even in the case of the flow guide (3) having a comparatively short longitudinal extent in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 7033803
Abstract: Deacidified fats and/or oils are made by the process which comprises the steps of: (a) reacting a technical triglyceride having an acid value of up to about 60 and a stoichiometric excess of a lower alcohol having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and from about 0.5% to about 5% by weight of a lipase to form a pre-esterification product having an acid value of from about 0.5 to about 10, (b) optionally removing water and unreacted alcohol from the pre-esterification product, (c) further reacting the pre-esterification product from step (a) or (b) with additional lower alcohol to form a post-esterification reaction product having an acid value of from about 0.1 to about 0.5.

  • Patent number: 5858169
Abstract: A process for separating a multi-component mixture containing solid or liquid organic components by treating the mixture with a gaseous entraining agent comprising a superheated carrier fluid containing a lower monohydric alcohol or a lower monohydric alcohol and water to cause constituents of the multi-component mixture to become entrained in the gaseous entraining agent, and separating the gaseous entraining agent containing constituents of the multi-component mixture from the multi-component mixture.

  • Patent number: 5110508
Abstract: The invention relates to a process, more especially a discontinuous process, for conducting a reaction taking place at elevated temperature in which heat-sensitive products are formed. To increase the volume-time yield, a heat transfer unit independent of the reactor is used for heating. The invention also relates to an apparatus for the production of heat-sensitive products at elevated temperatures. This apparatus comprises a reactor and a heating system. To increase the volume-time yield, the heating system comprises at least one heat transfer unit arranged outside and connected to the reactor.
