  • Patent number: 6033022
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat with a seat frame (20) and with a back rest (22), which can be mounted onto this seat frame (20) in the state of completion, whereby a back rest joint (24) is provided opposite the seat frame for the adjustment of the tilting of the back rest (22), which has a first arm (26), which is allocated to the seat frame (20), and a second arm (28), which is allocated to the back rest (22), and which have an angular adjustment toward each other. A piece of fitting means, which is arranged in a centric manner to the articulated axle (30) of the back rest joint (24) effects a connection between the back rest (22) and the seat frame (20). Furthermore, a lever (32) for an unlocking device for the tilting forward motion is provided at the back rest (22). The back rest joint (24) is arranged at the back rest (22) with both its arms in the state of completion of the back rest (22).

  • Patent number: 6030042
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat comprising a seat carrier, which is connected on one hand via a height adjustment device, to which belongs a back link, with an underframe and to which on the other hand a back rest support of a back rest is arranged, which on one hand is coupled via a joint to the seat carrier and on the other hand is normally connected via a detachable stop device with a seat carrier in such a way that after the stop device has been released the back rest is moved around the joint in a swinging motion and can thereby be shifted forward. At the same time a locking device has been released, which is preferably allocated to the back link. The seat carrier can be shifted forward in such a way that on the whole the space behind the motor vehicle seat is made larger and the access to this space is made easier. The back rest support has an extension, which extends the back rest support over the joint.

  • Patent number: 5959269
Abstract: A rotary switch has a control knob (3) that is mounted on at least three balls (6) that move, guided by a cage disk (7), in a housing groove (8) formed by a radial wall (9) and an axial wall (10), against which the balls (6) are urged by an outward or inward conical bearing surface (11) or (12). The radial and axial wall bearing surfaces have contact segments and contact paths (13, 14) that are shorted by at least one of the balls (6). The control knob has a stop lug (15), an operational adjustment angle (4) of which is limited by housing lugs (16) and which, during operational adjustment, contacts at least one of two stop lugs (17) of the cage disk, which are positioned at an angle that corresponds approximately to one-half the maximum operational adjustment angle (4) and to a maximum contact adjustment angle (5). • Patent number: 5825051
Abstract: An optoelectronic component for improved distribution of light in a horizontal plane has an elongated body (2) with a central hollow (6) at a top portion (3) thereof, a base (4), and an electrical connection (5). An internally emitted luminescent beam (7) is deflected by the central hollow (6) through transparent portions of the body into the horizontal plane. A height of the component (1) is thereby reduced, and light is fed into light guides more efficiently. Light distribution on all sides is made possible by a conical central hollow. The luminescent beam (7) can be concentrated into four beams by using a pyramidal hollow (6), so that the luminescent beam (7) can be efficiently fed into four light guides that cross at that location.

  • Patent number: 5780076
Abstract: A compression apparatus which is operated in association with at least two mold parts which can move relative to one another. The compression apparatus is formed of at least one compression units having a working chamber and a working element which can move in it. A gaseous medium can be provided to the working chamber under any initial pressure. During the closing motion of the parts of the mold, the working element is moved in the working chamber, such that the volume in the working chamber is reduced, and in this way, in the course of the closing motion, the gaseous medium is compressed in the working chamber. The compressed gaseous medium can then be sent to a consumer with or without intermediate storage. A compression apparatus of this type is intended for an injection molding machine in which gas pressurization is to take place in a cavity.

  • Patent number: 5688776
Abstract: The invention relates to polysaccharides which are crosslinked with bifunctional crosslinkers and are no longer water-soluble but are still biodegradable, have a swelling of from 100 to 1000%, where the swelling, which means the percentage gain in weight, is determined by the following equation: ##EQU1## in which A is the percentage gain in weight, W.sub.o is the weight of the dry polymer and W.sub.t is the weight of the swollen polymer saturated with water. It likewise relates to a process for preparing the crosslinked polysaccharides and to the use of the crosslinked polysaccharides for coating and/or embedding medicinal active substances or drug compositions. The invention furthermore relates to a drug which contains an active substance which acts in the large intestine or an active substance which is broken down on passing through the stomach or small intestine, coated with or embedded in one of the crosslinked polysaccharides.

A frame and a supporting structure are connected and hinge-jointed to each other by front and rear parallelogram arms. At least one diagonal locking brace is hinged on one side to one of the frame, the supporting structure and one of the parallelogram arms, and on an other side is guided by a tranverse part in a longitudinal guide. A locking segment has at least one holding notch to accommodate the transverse part, with flanks extending transversely to the longitudinal guide and a handle for releasing the tranverse part from the holding notch. The handle extends over a region of a front surface of the child seat.

  • Patent number: 5626392
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat with a longitudinal guide that has a locking device. The seat has a backrest which has a release lever for tilting the seat forward. The operation of the release lever releases the backrest from a normally upright position and allows it to be tipped forward. The backrest is connected to the locking device of the longitudinal guide by means of a release mechanism so that when backrest is tipped forward, the locking device can be released and the motor vehicle seat can be moved manually in the longitudinal guide. Alternatively, if the backrest is in the upright position, the locking device is either ready to be operated, or in the process of operating. A memory device is provided for finding a position where the locking device was previously engaged following the longitudinal movement of the seat along the guide.

  • Patent number: 5611747
Abstract: The present invention teaches a wobble-hinged metal fitting suitable for adjustable motor vehicle seats, and more particularly, for back seat gears. The fitting includes two hinged brackets connected together by an eccentric, a carrier and shaft running therethrough. Each bracket contains an internal gear and an external gear associated with the internal gear. The eccentric is positioned next to one of the gears and is turnably connected to the shaft. The eccentric includes means for compensating play in the seat which consist of an eccentric part having a receiving inlet, at least one rolling body, at least two jamming planes and at least one spring. The spring is positioned such that it pressures the rolling body to come in contact with the jamming plane on one side and the gear on the other side. The carrier is positioned such that when the rolling body is in a locked position, an initial turning movement of the shaft results in the release of the locked rolling body before the eccentric starts to move.
