Abstract: Techniques described herein provide a method and a device for breaking down legumes. The method includes mixing legumes with an aqueous extraction agent to form a legume mixture and pre-comminuting the legume mixture by means of a conical pocket tool and/or a chamber tool that acts as a first rotor-stator homogenizer by adding an aqueous extraction agent through stator openings directly into a shearing and mixing zone of the conical pocket tool and/or the chamber tool. The method also includes incubating the pre-comminuted legume mixture by further adding the aqueous extraction agent, and fine grinding the incubated legume mixture by means of another chamber tool and/or a nozzle tool that acts as a second rotor-stator homogenizer.

Abstract: An apparatus for removeing microbes from flowing media, such as water, has an essentially cylindrical container, inside of which there is a reaction chamber with UV radiators arranged on a concentric circle, and it also has inlet and outlet openings for the medium to flow through the reaction chamber in a direction parallel to the cylinder axis and on a path maximizes exposure of the medium to the UV radiation.

Abstract: The plug-in socket joint secured against sliding movement is intended for socket pipes (1) manufactured by centrifugal casting, in which the spigot end (3) of one pipe may be inserted with radial play into the socket end (2) of the other pipe. In this joint, a sealing ring (8) and a clamping ring (14) structurally separate therefrom are arranged, said clamping ring being composed of a plurality of clamping segments (15) spaced from one another in peripheral direction. The latter have a spherical outer shell surface (17), are connected to each other in peripheral direction by means of a moulded-on intermediate layer of rubber or similar and each have a toothing (19) on their inner surface (18).

Abstract: The spigot-and-socket joint which is secured against sliding is designated for moulded parts and for socket pipes (1) produced by the centrifugal casting technique, with the spigot end (3) of the one pipe adapted to be slid, with radial play, into the socket end (2) of the other pipe. In the socket end there are arranged a sealing ring (8) and a separate clamping ring (14) comprising a plurality of circumferentially extending, spaced clamping segments (15) having a spherically convex outer surface (17) and, on their inner surface (18), a tooth system (19) which, in the presence of axial forces, presses radially onto the spigot end (3) as the spherically convex surface (17) cooperates with a pipe socket's inner surface (18) which tapers conically towards the end. Abstract: The invention concerns a compactor for wastes, in particular for compressible trash, and includes a compaction plunger with a compaction blade in the lower part of a trash receiving chamber of a compactor housing. The plunger is horizontally displaceable and conveys the trash into a container adjoining the receiving chamber where the trash is compacted. The invention provides a scoop pivotally supported by the compaction plunger and comprising an acute-angle leading edge for slipping underneath the trash which is continuously accumulating in the receiving chamber. During the return stroke of the plunger, the scoop can be tipped upward about its pivot axis so that the trash behind the compaction plunger is moved in front of the compaction blade of the compaction plunger.

Abstract: The invention concerns equipment for compacting compressible wastes such as paperboard, cardboard, wood wastes, household trash or the like and is designed in such a way to include a rotating drum and plunger combination so that the trash is moved at equal spacings through a segmented housing and into a receptacle or the like. During conveyance the conveyed trash does not give off foul odors.

Abstract: Equipment for compacting trash consisting of packaging materials and easily compressed wastes, such as cardboard, light plastic and wood packings, paper, wastes of blanks and wood, plastic and metal chips held in containers open at the top using a compacting roller entering the container and therein circularly revolving on the trash and held by a post reaching above the container, this roller performing a relative motion with respect to the container during the compaction while the contents are rising is desired to be so designed as to suffice with relatively few parts, that it be resistant to malfunction and suited to receive bulky trash.
