  • Patent number: 10920771
Abstract: A pump drive for conveying a reducing agent for motor vehicle exhaust gas systems, with an electronically commutated direct current motor, a positive displacement pump, and a freezing compensation structure. Also, a modular motor and pump family for forming different pump drives with several such electric motors and pumps. It is the aim of the invention to ensure, in the simplest and most robust manner possible, the integration of a hydraulic unit (gear pump) into an electrical unit (electric motor), a sealing of a wet region from a dry region, an integration of a freezing compensation into the wet region, and a mechanical attachment on the customer side. A modular construction of the electric motor and of the positive displacement pump, which, without a large modification cost, via simple combination of assemblies or modules, can be used for different requirements, is important for this.

  • Patent number: 6543902
Abstract: The invention relates to an outside rearview mirror for a motor vehicle. Said rearview mirror comprises a mirror base, to be attached to the motor vehicle; a mirror head, which carries a mirror glass. The invention also relates to a self-blocking drive, arranged in a multipart drive housing, with an electric motor, whose output shaft is in engagement in gear with a reduction gear and/or can be folded and moved back out of the service position (F to P) about a swivel axis and hinged to the motor vehicle under the effect of an external force; and the invention relates to electromechanical or electronic means, detecting a relative movement. In a known servo drive of this type, time consuming installation steps must be performed. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to enable a relatively arbitrary number of ways to lead the motor connections out and to enable the motor to move out of a blocked position while the installation remains simple.

  • Patent number: 4884868
Abstract: A plurality of glass layers are deposited from the vapor phase on a substrate. The layers have different refractive indices. The deposited layers produce an optical dispersion component useful in optical communication. Two rotatably journalled optical components provide an optical element having an adjustable dispersion.

  • Patent number: 4657344
Abstract: Glass layers are deposited according to a prescribed refractive index profile. The multilayer component is divided into precalculated parts, which are rectangular in shape and which have the optical properties of cylinder lenses. The optical properties of such structural components can be determined within wide limits by the nature of the deposition.

  • Patent number: 4521071
Abstract: The assignment of light-wave conductors to calculable coupling areas on the end face of graded index rod lenses (GRIN lenses) is difficult and cannot be effected accurately for coupling areas located in different planes. Therefore, the end face is provided with a profile composed, for example, of inlet funnels, which facilitates the positioning. Such profiles can be composed of position-controlled bores.
